At the moment I am finding that the Skoria set works really well for me with my Stam DK because I am running a lot of DOT Attacks I was just wondering other peoples opinion on if they think it is viable?.

While usable, the damage is flame damage which is not good for stam classes because of the stamina CP.
You could use something like Kra'gh or Velidreth on a stamina DK for better results imo.

Thanks for the advice I just Find that I lack Aoe Damage and the Skoria seems to go off roughly every 6 seconds and I don't really want to give up one of my Dots for an Aoe when the Skoria affect is like having an Aoe.

Generally, I'd recommend slotting a skill based AoE for trash in dungeons/trials.

But depending on what you want to do, it can be fine to use.

As long as you're not too bothered about min-maxing your damage right now, you can continue to use Skoria and it should prove to be an effective set. :)

How about VMA? Velidreth is unavailable for me because I don't have the DLC. Kragh just doesn't fill the purpose of extra burst.

Would be Skoria viable replacement or should I stick with my current 5/5/2 msa daggers/msa bow/ setup?

I see Valkyn is less effective for a dps, because of the health increase; unless your dps already has good or higher overall weapon damage and very low hp. I like running with Selene because of the 900 or so more stamina increase. Plus, that 15k something damage when Selene proc, is nice, and I don't mind it that it's only single target-focused. Velidreth gives that extra weapon damage and the good supplemental poison damages from the proc, but I already have a 5-piece that procs an extra 600 weapon damage. So, I'm ok with not using Velidreth. Maybe I'm not seeing something, but I don't see the Kragh set giving out as much damages as the Selene.

Yes, stamDK lacks AoE and burst, but I don't see that being a disadvantage. For all the times I've done dungeons, dolmens, world bosses and even trials, where there are other sorcs, NB and Templars abound, I don't see them taking out targets any faster or better than my stamDK. I'm not saying stamDK is better than any other class, but rather, each class has its own unique way of fighting and skillsets. It just depends on what build/combo you are using and how you are using your skillset and rotation. Plus, although necessary for rotations, AoE and DoTs aren't the primary damage dealers. Both are really supplemental damages.

For a 2H stamDk, the main damage dealer is the Wrecking Blow (empowered passive, not Dizzying Swing) and for DW, it is the Rapid Strikes. StamDK has good DoTs, such as the Noxious Breath (also supplemental AoE), Venomous Claw, Beast Trap (Lightweight now, rather than the Rearming, since the Rearming has been nerfed to hell), Endless Hail or Arrow Barrage (which is also supplemental AoE), Venom Arrow (also disrupt) or Poison Injection and also Rending Slashes for DW. I use 3 to 4 DoTs supplementing with my main damage dealer within a rotation. I don't see anything more than 4 DoTs within a rotation is necessary. You want to get those DoTs in and then use your main damage dealer for a couple or few times (to wait out and maximize the DoTs time effect) before redoing your rotations. I see this as enough to compensate for the lack of AoE or burst. Plus, the greatsword does have a hidden AoE effect. It can hit up to 3 targets with one big swing, with one target getting the blunt of the damages while the other one or two will get the residual damages (which can be about the same as a light attack.) Not bad.. Also, as the DW, you move pretty fast with the Rapid Strikes; fast enough that you can move around and between multiple targets inflicting fast damages. Also, heavy attack and heavy attack again with your main damage dealers.. that AC is freaking brutal!

So yes, I'm ok with stamDK not having the good AoE or burst as the other classes. I fair fine in taking out any target or boss and can hold my own in soloing a lot of contents intended for a group (not trials here.. ha ha.)

If you want a good proc monster set for stamina use, go with Kra'gh, Selene, or Velidreth. They're all way better than Skoria for stam DKs. Also, 1pc Kra'gh is still best-in-slot for pretty much every stam user save for the rare trials scenes with a fully penetration-specced tank.

Kr'agh is amazing in Trials / vMA. Run that for longer fights.

Veli is best for short fights because of the great burst damage. I would not run selene's as it underperforms in comparison.
