Cavern Home

I just spent 16000 crowns on my nice new cavern home in Craglorn. It would be nice if I could sit on the furniture, lay on the bed, interact with it more than turning on the lights. I am really dissapointed with my homes. I expected more interaction. The eye candy is great, but...

I'm sorry to hear that. :(

What lead you to believe it'd work differently to all the other homes?

Homes plural. I expected more interaction in all of them. If Skyrim could do it why can't ESO ? Don't get me wrong I like the houses, I just would like to interact more, be able to cook on my own fire, for instance.

I would sell my homes if I could. It's boring.

It would be great to have more interaction but can see it would be quite challenging to get done for all the different types of items. Used to play the sims freeplay a lot and was much better when the sims didn't just lay on top of the bed but actually got under the covers. I really love housing in ESO and saving for the cavern furnished and other houses....will be a while.

You can install a provisioning station and cook on that.

Because Skyrim never has to worry about how thousands of people playing Skyrim simultaneously on the same server would affect stability.

Sure, we could use more interface with our properties. But expecting single player freedom in a multiplayer environment is an unrealistic expectation.

You do know that house in ESO is a personal instance which dont get affect of how many people that is online.

I think there is pletty to do with homes. Use ur imagination be creative stop just putting a chair and bed and looking at it like ummmm what now. It's a huge empty canvas. I've made a under water castle useing fish floating in air with kelp and coral everywhere. Pokémon stadiums outside and even built an Onix out of rocks.

I think a lot of people are using houseing wrong. I think it great to be creative in an mmo and try new things it's absolutely amazing. Try thinking out of the box and you will look at this update in a different way.

It is possible they could make more things interactive in the future, but clearly it wasn't a priority with the initial release. Over time they will add more things, but I think they kind of rushed to get Homestead out so they could focus on Morrowind.

What I think is annoying is how they added interactive furniture in the real world, and now you go to talk to an NPC and end up sitting in a chair!!!

Except it is not a personal instance since others can visit your home at anytime. It is a server instance.
