Oh yeah we got a night blade healer too...bet it doesn't get weirder than this.

Sorc Healers/Tanks that are actually good are about as rare as Unicorns.

On Final boss realized our tank was a sorc

Congratulations. It is pretty rare because sorcs and nightblade healers don't have as many synergies for alkosh, and radiant aura from templar comes really in handy this magicka meta.

As for sorc tank, never even seen one myself that is quite rare. I have had saptank nbs though, but not sorcs.

Granted, it probably wasn't hard mode which is where you'll really need good healers, but congratulations nonetheless!

Back in early 2016, when Vmol was brand new, I was a true Battle-Mage sorc. DPS/tank/heals at any given time. IN fact, I was the only Sorc Tank, tanking the first 2 bosses in Vet-MOL. However, since ZOS nerfed Absorption field aka altered its morph, sorc tanking is a pain, and I rarely ever tank. Lastly, for the record, I was a sorc tank since launch.

Awesome! Was the sorc tank stamina or magicka?

I have a magicka sorc tank that is ready to start normal trials (all vet dungeons tanked except SotH content) but I fear people will not accept her.

%4 magick of stamina of health for ever synergy
Ring of Preservation : 8% damage reduction and 10% regain of stamina
Master resto - (i don't have one but the nb healer did)
Mystic orbs like candy
Empowered shield: 10% regain to magicka regain
some other things along the lines of teamwork and skill

Syneries I got plenty of those. In fact I keep reminding them to press x. I think some of them were getting annoyed... no I am sure of it. Then I reminded them again.

Nah, @RedVyperOfDorne tanked vmol with his sorc numerous times.

I played a Stam Sorc tank up through Vet 8. Got to be too darn hard, so I dropped the heavy armor, switched to medium and picked up a bow. Nine months later, I haven't looked back.

My feeling is that this game is quite open for build / class diversity.

But in competitive PVE the players force themselves into cookie cutter and FOTM builds for the sake of min-maxing and getting the highest score possible.

The fact is these some templars healers are below me on the weekly scoreboard when I am not being lazy. Was I at the top no, but wasn't at the bottom either.

I also love my sorc tank, tanked regular (only regular!) AA last week. First time ever tanking the axes. Were it vet, I'd be dead. I'm glad to see it is user error, and not class error

Thank you for mentioning vSO hm, literally the only trial with a hm that has the easiest mechanic out of all the hard modes, when I was talking about vAA hard mode, literally comparable to doing vMoL or harder.

Also, the synergies reference was for the tank.

My sorc tank is my go-to toon. He's just comfortable and I love playing him. I'm wondering if I can take vet trials but so far have had no luck finding a group willing to take a chance on non 'dk meta'. Elitism is a thing out there.

Glad to see there are more of us sorc tanks than I thought.

I will never forget this ,

I went into pug group vet helra and the main tank was a sorc tank .. which made me think ..ok here we go...

he went in first while we were porting in helra and went right ahead after 5 min or so i went out first to the bridge up the stairs ..no enemy .. which was umm ok... and then ive seen him ... he group up every single one of the adds to him .. there were so soooooo many of adds on him and his life did not drop for even a sec he was just standing there taking all of the hits ... it was so much adds i lagged and then the rest of the people came in ...

lets just say ive never seen anything like that in my eso life , a tank sorc , we finished it with ease the lass boss he was tanking without any problems

so yhea props to that sorc tank , ive seen DK tanks , temp tanks, 60 plus health go down but that guy did not die once i wish i remember his name as that guy was a beast

True, ended up doing it in light armour quite a few times too with 23k hp

I used to be a sorc healer but then I did vMA and I have been DD ever since.

Edit: Just did vCoS pug run with a Sorc healer. Last boss gave a bit of trouble but that was only becouse the pugs didn't know how to stand still
