The Thieves' Guild and Dark Brotherhood are very different organizations. One likes to leave a bit of a trail to let the buyer know the job has been done, and one likes to leave as little trail as possible that there's nothing to track.

They share a lot of tools but have different methodology and goals

It is not just the guards, anyone spots you using blade of woe you are caught. It could be a citizen, vendor, etc .....

I use bladé of woe all the time, I never have an issue. If I get caught it is because I screwed up .....

I think he means during a Heist. I wondered the same thing when I first ran one. Every kill you make is seen as being caught. Not a big fan of that design but I guess it would sort of make the Heist incredibly easy.

Well for people who don't feel like having a build simply for a few minute run probably don't have it too easy. I had a lot of trouble finishing them in time when I was actually being sneaky and using stealth. I actually decided to say screw it and just run through them during the Hew's Bane event, and I have actually got 2 runs in a row with all objectives. Trying to be sneaky was actually screwing me over.
