The "Burn 4 corpses" part of the quest "In His Wake" can't be completed in Riften because there are no corpses.

This. Why can't I find any corpses?
Actually, I did find one and I burned it. That was a couple of days ago. Having gone back several times since then I can't find any others, ever. Lots of sabre cats and a few trolls, though. If killing those were part of the quest I would be all set. What gives?
