Which class for an Imperial?

PVP wise with occasional PVE. I know Redguard is better for sustain, but I have one already. And I kinda wanna take advantage of that imperial edition i bought but never use anything from. So Stamplar or StamDK was what I was thinking. Or is it just not even worth the bother since they have no reduce cost or recovery built in (lol red diamond.)

    Health DK tank for PvE!

Edit: Here is the original build:

I use my own variant of this build and really like it for 4-man vet content with my group. Our healer can spend way more time on DPS than with the meta perma-block tank builds. I really don't die while tanking, unless I want to. In pugs, it works great as you can easily res your whole team if need be.

Kinda works the other way... Decide what class you want to play, then choose what race is best for it. The class you choose is what will give you the most enjoyment

i think imperial are the race for all class. might not be the best min-max race for a specific class.. but its not sub-par to other races

Well I have a High Elf Sorcerer, High Elf Magplar, Redguard Stamsorc. So yeah I know the minmax route. Im not asking that. It may seem a little weird. But I just want to make an Imperial. I guess they are top tanks, but I wanna PVP with him as well.

When I was in your situation I went stamsorc, but I don't PvP so that might not be useful to you.

"Instead of taking the best of the dolmens (predictable rotation), the best of the geysers (scalability based on number of players), and the best of the dragons (map location and health indicators) and adding them together to make a fun and dynamic world event scenario, they gave us....... harrowstorms." https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/6850523/#Comment_6850523

Do you want to keep flipping back and forth between PvE and PvP? If so, then the health tank spec with all attribute points in health isn't a great choice. But if you flip rarely enough that you can respec -- well, then it's just a question of whether you want to PvP with a DK from a stamina-oriented race.

Imperial accommodates stam classes the best but you can magicka just as easily imho. I played a magicka DK tank in some fairly competitive PvE content for a long time before finally succumbing to the Powerful Assault medium armor vigor spam meta. I was able to fully translate this build into medium sized group PvP and basically be a cc spam machine.

On my first attempt ever for VMA, I got to the final boss after 4 hours and i was wearing light armor again, magicka DK Imperial. I have never PvE dps'd with my imperial DK, but I think with the right gear and rotation, you can reach 35k single target - but i cant confirm.

as a stamina build, the gap between dps and tanking seems much smaller compared to dps and tanking in magicka spec.

in any case, i think Imperial is a very well rounded race but obviously there are better races for what you want to do in this game. I'd say, just make what "speaks to you" - thanks to a nominal crown purchase, you can change your race later down the road. ;)

I have an Imperial Magplar who does extremely well... the additional health is great and the extra stamina for roll-dodge/blocking... plus Sweeps counts as melee attack to proc Red Diamond.
