Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Probably Morrowind will be the end of ESO for me if things keep going the way they are!!

So you play PvE 90% of the time, but you aren't interested in Morrowind at all? You just want to level two Wardens through the content you've already done 8 times? What exactly do you do for endgame? Just dungeons? vMA? Morrowind offers a new trial, but you said you're not interested in that, so I guess you don't do trials.

Can we just call this like it really is? This is the second thread (that I've seen) from you about being mad about not getting free character slots for the Warden. That's fine. Complain about that if you want, but I have a hard time believing that a person who plays 90% PvE has no interest in a large PvE expansion, that offers new quests, exploration, a new trial, and I'm going to assume a decent amount of new gear sets. You can be upset about not getting free character slots without the hyperbole of paying $70 dollars for only a new class. I highly doubt you'll avoid Morrowind, or any gear drops, crafting stations etc... that come with it. You're getting more for that $40 than you're pretending.

It's open world. All open world content are way to easy that's is just boring. To the veteran players atleast. I have heard nothing about delves/group delves, group dungeons. So if they don't add some difficulty in Morrowind I won't be much interested in that myself. Trials yes I'm hyped about it. So really I'm spending $40 for just a trial. Maybe Morrowind will surprise me, hope so. Morrowind should be what craglorn use to be, difficult group content in open world.

Once Crowfall/CU release, they will probably take a lot of ESO's PVP community, and Elyria and Pantheon will probably take the PVE community. But these games may not see the market tell next year. So Morrowind here we come, until something better comes along!

Any of those games coming to ps4? lol doubt it.

Clearly morrowind will not be the end of ESO for the OP. It's obvious based off his post.

If he truly thought it would be the end why spend $40 just to quit the game? Why then go ahead and spend more $ for additional character slots when he can just delete one of the characters he's probably not going to play anymore.

So logic doesn't really support his decision so far.

The changes in CP recently announced is only part of the story. Yea, many of us are apprehensive about this change, however we don't know the full story. We don't know what other changes will occur nor have I heard the devs true intent with this. Oh, there was a day (when 1.6 was released, that we used cost reduction enchants. They were part if some good PvE trial builds.

So leave if you want. You can probably save yourself some $$$ by canceling your expansion purchase. Rant threads really don't serve a purpose.

yes yes yes... ESO is dying, likely last legs, easily this is final straw...

juts like heck, most every patch/dlc/expansions since start-up.

Easily wont survive the next [insert wtf you want here]

    :-)

Already pre-ordered and would buy the two new slots today if i could.

Prophesies of diminutive poultry posters aside, i expect there to be a surge of interest once Morrowind hits.

When Craglorn was what Craglorn used to be it was beyond dead. Why would they make that mistake again?

I loved old Craglorn, but I was capable of soloing some of that group stuff. A lot of people aren't. When they make difficult open world content, two things happen. One, people who can solo it have fun solo it, and two, everyone else forms huge groups and zergs the bosses down and it is no fun for anyone (see Wrothgar bosses, IC bosses before nerf, Old Craglorn boss farming runs)

Anyway, my post was only about this guy saying he wants NOTHING else from Morrowind but the Warden. No gear sets, no trial, no quests etc... I suspect that he only says he wants none of this because saying he HAS to pay $70 to play the Warden ($40 Morrowind + $30 for 2 character slots) sounds better than saying he has to pay $30 to get the character slots he wants. He is trying to devalue Morrowind in order to make his problem sound worse than it really is. Unless he really doesn't care about the new trial, or new gear, or new quests, or battlegrounds, then sure, but my question still stands; if he wants none of that, then what is it that he is actually interested in doing in this game?

I remember when Arena Net announced Heart of Thorns Expansion for Guild Wars 2 . In the first announcements they said the expansion will come without a free character slot.
The community raged ...and after some great debates on the official forums and reddit Anet decided to include a free character slot with the expansion.

The same happened with the introduction of the dark night class in Black Desert Online. They gave one free character slot ( bought with 1 loyalty point -- and u receive 100 of them every day)

I hope ZOS will listen to the community and Morrowind will come with 1 or 2 character slots included.

Because changing a single variable from 8 character slots to 10 isn't "content." People are already paying for the expansion. They shouldn't have to pay extra to access all of the content therein. It is ZOS's job to anticipate the possibility that people will need more character slots. They did, and managed to find yet another method of squeezing money out of a fan base that has, in my opinion, been way too quick to defend scummy business moves.

This is really pathetic reasoning. Those 8 slots were purchased as part of the original game so they are hardly free.

Morrowind is sold as a separate product (definitely not a dlc of the original one, as we were told). One of Morrowind's main selling point is that you can play as Warden. Except you can't without additional purchase or by sacrificing an original character slot that you bought for the vanilla game. No disclaimers when you rush and pre-order. In some countries that is borderline false advertising. For me it's just really pathetic.

I've been in since PC Beta, and to paraphrase Mark Twain, "rumors of ESO's death have been greatly exaggerated". Every major patch had predictions of the game failing within 3 months. Around 3 years later, they can afford a Super Bowl commercial. Not exactly failing.

I just cancelled my subs at the beginning of the month due to all the issues that have not been addressed and crates continuing to flood the crown store. I may still play once and awhile but will not be buying the "Expansion" as I feel its a bait and switch since a sub was supposed to get you new content access until they changed it category type to make us pay for it.

Also the slot issue is your OWN fault because honestly you have one of each built type (mag/stam per class). And the fact you are upset because you need to shell out 40 bucks for morrowind and DO NOT care about the vast amount of content they are adding along with the class. Its not like melemancer for deiablo 3 where you will need to buy the class alone and knowing them it will be 30 bucks.

Maybe because in wow you get what you pay for along with good customer service when you need help with an issue. In eso we have the same 4 crap mounts sines the game launch, theirs no fun rewards for doing anything in this game, you want something rewarding? then open your wallet and go to the crown store

No one cares about WoW because it sucks. Here at ESO we were promised the DLC as part of our subscription. Re-classfying Morrowind as "not DLC" is a little underhanded and forseeably earns some backlash.

I don't agree with everything they do. But the population on xbox only seems to be growing. From others comments here it seems other platforms have experienced more players, either from old coming back or new players starting.

So I don't think it is on its way out, I actually believe they are doing really well. From a playerbase standpoint anyways.

I could be wrong but that is just what I am seeing in game.

I have said from the moment they released news of morrowind that what they were doing was shady. Changing the name of their dlc to chapter and not allowing it to be purchased with crowns. But I will still buy it and play it. I know for a fact I wouldn't have eso+ if it wasn't the only way to get a craft bag. And also the double limit on housing items.

So while they are doing some things I don't like, I don't believe the game is anywhere close to being on its way out.
