Which of this game's Elven races are Zelda and Link most like (both physically and otherwise)?

If Zelda and Link were suddenly snatched from Hyrule by a Dark Anchor and deposited onto Tamriel, which of the Elven races here would they most be mistaken for in looks, mannerisms and other such factors? :o

They are always referred to as humans in that game. They just have weird ears. So I'mm a gonna go with NORDMER.

    Bosmer.

    Short and annoying.

I'd have to agree with Bosmer being able to play them off best. If not... Nord is also a good choice but, no pointy ears!!

    Lunithia - High Elf Templar
    Oden Ravenson - Nord Dragonknight
    Za' Rei - Khajiit Nightblade

Helventhia - Breton Templar (Current WIP)

They have the physique of wood elves, but dress like high elves, and act like bretons.

Bretons I guess, what with being humans and all. Some hyruleans simply have elf-like ears... Which mind, I think is also technically true of bretons thanks to their elvish ancestry(and while I didn't with mine, IIRC you can even give them to your breton toon).

Probably Breton since the most recent Link and Zelda look human while Hyrule would fit right in next to Breton society and some Bretons can have pointed ears

And going by the wiki, the hyrulean ears even come from their magical ancestry... So yeah, bretons.

If they're referred to as humans with weird ears (aka elfish traits) then I would say Breton. They're descended from altmer

Hyruleans aren't particularly short, nor do they tend to have solid black eyes... Which isn't even getting started on bosmer culture...

Where as bretons for all of them being a "mage race", oddly their cultures biggest "thing" actually seems to be knightly orders.

I'm sure there's some fan theory out there that links (haha pun) LoZ to the ES universe.

I'd say none of them. The Mer are meant to be somewhat exotic alien races with rather specific cultures and quite different in appearance from the generic elves of typical high fantasy franchises.

I say the same thing when people compare the Drow to the Dunmer, as much as I love the work of R.A. Salvatore.

    As for the question of...

...that would depend entirely on the observer.

A knowledgable observer would pretty quickly realize they are not from "around here". They might speculate about where they are from, and then go with their personal notions of different continents, time displaced lost races, other worlds, whatever...

Any other observer would likely mistake them for whatever "foreign" race they think of first. A nord, bosmer or altmer might mistake them for bretons, a breton or redguard or argonian might mistake them for altmer or bosmer, depending on what they are wearing - likely link in his simple tunic as bosmer and zelda in her regal princess clothing as altmer - its all about the preconceptions, really...

Noone would mistake them for dunmer though, not unless we throw "Dark Link" into the mix, yes?

It's pretty interesting that the only thing each observer would notice is that they weren't the observer's own. :)

A Breton mother and a Dunmer father might be able to bear a child resembling Link. Then you could have the elf-like ears and the affinity toward both weaponry and magic.

And nobody would let Link join in any endgames because hybrids suck.

If you're going to RP them in-game, I'd say Bosmer (Wood Elf) would be your best bet.

They're closer to Bretons, but for the ears, definitely Bosmer.
