Starting Attributes

Just made a new character, an Altmer sorcerer.

Why does he have 16000 starting health and my bosmer NB only have 10000?

Is this a racial thing, a class thing or what.

I looked on the wiki but couldn't find this info. Did I miss it?

Welcome to One Tamriel where everyone's starting stats are boosted as all lower level characters are scaled to higher level stats. As you increase in level you will gain attribute points and based on how you place them your stats will change.

Your attributes scale based on your gear in comparison to your level

A level 5 with level 5 gear will have better stats than a level 10 with level 5 gear. Quality of gear also impacts attributes, so a level 5 with level 4 blur gear might have better stats than a level 5 with level 5 white gear.

Just eso's wonky level scaling at work
    PS4 / NA
    M'asad - Khajiit Nightblade - Healer
Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer
Leonin - Khajiit Warden - Tank

    This doesn't make sence.

My Bosmer nb with zero attribute points distributed has just under 10000 hit points. He's CP 292. My band new level 1 Altmer sorc, with no gear or attribute points distributed has 16000 hit points.

I don't get that, and can't find starting stats and attribute info.

    What this person said.

Your stats are boosted very significantly at a low level to make you somewhat competitive in the game as everything is scaled to level.

As your Nightblade is a higher level, the scaling drops off significantly as you are more powerful in other ways.

Basically, as you level up you get less of a health and stat boost.

So when you're high level, you best go out and get some good gear.

I understand this with stats and skills. But I thought base Attributes were unaffected by level scaling.

Makes perfect sense. Your CP292 character is NOT scaled since he/she is above CP160.
The stats you see on that character are the correct base stats, unscaled.

Your new character is scaled, which favors low level characters. The stats you see will decrease as you gain levels.
    This is working as intended.
