Hirelings ... do you really get a delivery every day?

I'm just asking because it seems I only get a delivery 24 hours after the last time I collected my last delivery(i.e. It seems to get later every day unless I happen to be on exactly when the delivery comes) ...

I haven't tested this theory (since I make it on once a day at least) but ... if I don't collect my mail for 48 hours will I have 2 deliveries for each hireling? Or does the game wait until you collect and start a new 24 hour clock?

Also I've added a couple more hirelings ( all at different times of day) but the deliveries seem to all come at the same time ... so is what I'm experiencing possibly my delivery times all being reset to the time of day I hired my last hireling? So they all come at once?

Confused...

So would they deliver before I check the mail, so I have a bunch of extra stuff if I'm off for 2 days , OR would that 12 hour clock not restart until I collect the previous delivery?

12 hours starts when your character logs in and triggers hirelings mail.

It doesn't work like trait research or bounty timers ... which keep running regardless if you log in or not.

Depending on your passive skill points invested you could get hirelings every 12 hours.

I only get my second delivery after midnight, so i rarely ever collect more than one every 24hours. Its terribly anoying

They really should make it 23 hours / 11 hours.

Yeah I had a feeling that's what was happening ... they should change the tooltip to "hireling delivers once a day (or 12 hours) IF you log in ... currently it's a bit misleading

Thanks for confirming my suspicions guys

They should really make it drop at set times. Like 12am/12pm, and then leave us to deal with our mail getting clogged up. :\

I'm gone for months at a time, it would be interesting logging back in after 2 months with mail from 8 characters all piling up.

That's the way it should be

I concur the mails should drop regardless on whether you log in on the character or not. I think just simply logging into the game should qualify for receiving the mails. That way people would still log in even though they didn't log in on 8-12 characters.

I miss the story from my Hirelings, they need to start telling me all the crazy crap they're getting up to.
