How does ESO Gold Edition work on Steam?

I have already bought Elder Scrolls Online on Steam but i see that there is a Gold Edition now which includes ESO and all the DLCs apart from Morrowind. So how does this work exactly, if i buy the Gold Edition will i have to reinstall ESO and launch it from there or i will just get the DLCs added to my current ESO account?

mesmerizedish✭✭✭✭✭For the non-Steam version, adding the Gold Edition's key to my account just upgraded my account; I didn't have to reinstall anything. I would hope that it works the same way on Steam, but cannot confirm that it does.0 -

I bought it now on Steam and i can confirm that it does work, it's basically an upgrade to the normal ESOOld TESO Player1
