ZOS please take high pingers into consideration for world/dungeon boss red circles.

I play with 250 - 300 ping from SE Asia and am dying frequently outside a dungeon bosses red circle even though I immediately dodged when I saw it. But to the server, it appears I dodged only after the red circle damage has been activated

My suggestion is to level a boss red circle mechanic based on the highest player average ping so that they are not missing out and dying frequently or having to anticipate the red circle & dodge unneccessarily. Or give players more time to dodge before activating the red circle damages for all bosses in EOS

I also face slow swapping bar and general slower response time for ability activating, but I guess nothing can be done for them. Maybe reconsider "while slotted gives x advantage" abilities so that the client does not need to wait for confirmation from server for swap bar change if that's the reason why client needs to wait for the confirmation from server before swapping the bar

Yeah it sucks. My ping is 300-400, playing out of Australia.
You can adapt to the mechanics though. I'm able to complete all vet dungeons with out too many issues. However I do find myself dodging attacks that weren't there as I miss read the boss.
The only boss that gets me constantly is rillis in banished cells (I think that's the one). He has a random ranged one shot attack. The attack follows the animation so quickly he must kill me atleast half the time. Very annoying.

I don't know if there is much that can be done though. I wouldn't want the game slowed down or attack telegraphs to be too long.

Yeah it does suck playing on high ping. For the most part it's possible to dodge anything even with a ping of 300ms, you just need to have much faster reactions than you would otherwise. There's the odd mechanic which is undodgeable with >250ms or so, but most of these won't kill you in one shot.

One solution with this would be to monitor player's latencies and give them more time to dodge effects accordingly, but this could open the door to some abuse. I don't mind playing with my 300ms latency at the end of the day. Obviously you can't be competitive in PvP, and you're always going to be performing far below your actual ability, but it's not like it's unplayable.

I thought you could turn particles all the way down in this game as well as AoC?

The problem is not on the rendering side, but on the actual distance between the client and server. I don't know where the EU server sits (I'll take Paris, France as a reference) or where the OP is (Sydney, Australia) as a reference. The straight line distance between the two is 17 000 km. The speed of light is 300 000 km/s. This means that if you laid a straight fibre between Sydney and Paris, the minimum ping that you can physically get is 2 * 17/300 = 113 ms. However, that straight line takes you over India, Saudi Arabia etc., so in real life the fibre will be much longer. The RL fibre between the UK and India is 15000 km long, as apposed to a straight line distance of 7500 km. So it is fair to say that the RL fibre between the OP and the server can easily be 30000k, which will mean a minimum ping of 226 ms. Add a few pieces of networking equipment and 300 ms is easy to get.

All that is before rendering even starts.

I'm in Pretoria, South Africa (straight line distance to Paris is 8700 km), and normally see pings of close to 300 ms as well. If the weather acts up my ping easily goes to 350-400 ms, which sometimes mean that if you start dodging when the bosses animation starts, you're dead. I find 300 ms to be fairly playable, but 400 ms is too much for me.

Not elite, not the best. Just enjoying ESO.
Not the worst either. "Casual" != "totally ignorant"

I somehow have issues with my character not responding even when ping and fps are normal:D Click very fast for light attack, character goes all the way into heavy..

Anyway op topic; I feel for you guys and I wish for you they did something.. I am close to the server so ping is about 50 with cable..
