Account banned

Domino2339
Trying to find some help. My husband ESO account has been banned because my bank reversed the charge for ESO plus. We contacted the back and had the bank give back the funds. He has been emailed customer service for weeks now and the only thing customer service says is that it can take up to 5 weeks for there system to see the funds. It's been over 7 weeks and he is being patient but I'm get mad. Has anyone dealt with this? And if so how long it take to be reinstated?

It's up to ZOS and it's not guaranteed he'll be reinstated.

The only way to resolve a ban is with service tickets, keep replying to the same ticket instead of creating new ones .....

It is odd that there was a ban for non-payment of ESO+. If the payment was denied by the bank, it should of just discontinued the ESO+ benefits .....

That's what I'm concerned about. He has ESO on PC first. I purchased a Xbox one for him and cancelled the auto renew on the PC. I then purchased the ESO plus on Xbox one. Well they charged my card anyway on the pc account. After trying to get ahold of them though email I got feed up and has the bank rejected the charge. So when when my husband went to play a few week later the message of your account has be permanently banned please contact customer service. We did and had the funds resent back to them. So I paid $80 of a PC account that can't be played and a Xbox on account because we linked the accounts. And I'm still getting charged for ESO plus for his Xbox one account! So I'm paying for something that he can't play.

Yeah sounds like it. This doesn't fare well for the company behind the game.
If the story from OP holds up, and I have no reason to think otherwise, it smells really weird. Anyone should be able to play without ESO+, right? If he doesn't pay it just lapses, but his account should be intact. If they somehow locked his account by accident, they should be able to reopen in a matter of minutes, not months. I mean, c'mon!

It's not odd at all. And ZOS commented on this years ago. If you cause a charge back which is basically considered fraud to them...they will ban you. Consider it that anytime you do something to create a debt for used services it means you paid, and then had your card company or bank report the transaction as stolen or unauthorized.

As result ZOS should ban the account as this should only happen if the card was stolen in which you'd want the account locked down cause they have access

The problem with that @NewBlacksmurf is I contacted my bank and Zos has had they money since November. My bank never took the money back. My bank and myself did contact ZOS about the charge. They were not supposed to charge my card. We cancelled the subscription, ZOS charged my card anyway. zmi7nxy2afoo.png

This is exactly what I'm referring to. Most companies who offer subscription based services will ban you or your IPs after doing this, therefore.....

Your bank tagged them as a fraudulent charge on your card

I have had my subscription renew itself three separate times after cancelling it. Pretty sleazy of them.
Luckily it's only a single month one.

It wasn't for a single month, it was for a 6 month hit. $77.24
