Starting a new character, best way to do it ?

So I've been playing alot of eso again recently and got my nightblade up to around cp250 (cp didnt exist when i played it)
And wanting to play something else, so I made a healer but don't really know what the best way is to start a new character.
Do you do the same as you first/main one ? Do all the quest and stuff is your alliance or don't do quest and just start grinding ?
Any help would be appriciated!

✭✭These days, you can level so quickly that there isn't really any need to grind anymore. You can get to 50 just playing the game normally for a week or two, doing whatever you enjoy most, whether it is PVP or quests, whatever you want.
If you grind you can get to 50 within a matter of hours if you are wearing all purple crafted training gear, using XP potions or scrolls, etc.2 -

Grinding can be boring, questing can get boring when you've done it many times.
But grinding is much faster, but you get less skillpoints.
What i usually do is questing, and some random dungeons in between, to boost my undaunted up to lvl 5 and get all the skillpoints from the quests.2 -

✭✭✭If your planning on leveling solo I would probably go with Sorc first cause the pets are pretty neat for solo mode.1 -

Yeah I have a sorc of level 47 he was my first one but I did a terrible build, hes even an argonian but odnt think that good for a sorc. Should I reset all his things and go further with him or start new one so I get the 'perfect' build?0 -

Yeah that was my main consern, the skill points. I wanted to just grind becasue I've been questing so much with my nb that its been pretty boring (doing all 3 alliances)but then i wouldn't get as much skills points.
Mayvbe only do the main faction quests and the guild ones for the skills points? could work?0 -

Since One Tamriel was added, you can pretty much go wherever you want at any time. Unless you have a very specific goal or plan for getting to the endgame dungeons as quickly as possible, just logging in and moving in a direction is perfectly feasible.
Just do whatever seems interesting at the time. Look at the random stuff that pops up on your compass and go.2 -

Would say that seems like there will never be such a thing as a perfect build with things getting changed every so often. Would advise play in a way that makes you happy as to many people who just do the grind end up being burnt out at the end. Think a mix is of gaming is always best and you will get up very fats . Also be aware that when the jester festival being end of next week there will be double xp again.

✭This is just my own Alt-o-holic method :
Skip the prison & go straight to the starter island. Discard all your junk prison gear & craft a set of lvl1 non-set gear (my craft bag has plenty of mats for this.) Get all the skyshards & lorebooks. Go to the closest town with a mage guild & fighters guild, join both & do the starter quest, also do the first stage of the main quest.. now you have some low level jewelry.
I then go from zone to zone getting skyshards & lorebooks (with the addons of course!) just killing the mobs that get in the way. If this gets too boring & slow I jump on the Alik'r dolmen train & level up super fast. Obviously this last bit I've only doen since 1 Tamriel release.
Once I get to lvl10, go to Cyrodiil & get all the skyshards & lorebooks. Also kill enemy players when possible. Most times this is where I leave the character until it hits lvl50. I just PVP with my guild in BWB.. the leveling always seems pretty fast. However if I want it to go faster.. back on that Alik'r dolmen train!NA Server [PC] -- Mostly Ebonheart Pact, Mostly.0 -

I made many characters, and had fun playing through all the old questings time and time again. Both in the "now lets see what that other dialoge option does..." kind of way and in the "Ah I remember that fight, my main had trouble with it, let's see how this new character does..." kind of way.
It has also the advantage of getting you all the skyshards, and all those mages guild books you can pick up "en passant" while following all the quests, and unlocking all the wayshrines...
But you can also just -blech- grind your way to 50 if that's your thing...

✭✭✭✭Be a true warrior and lvl up in Prison. Will need someone with banker to acess all XP boost pots, crafted gear and similar. Whatever char you decide to level, make 5pc willow path, for superior regen of all 3 stats. Other set can be hundings for stamina or julianos for magicka. Good luck0
