Idea to stop Bots: deputize vigilantes!

    Easiest way to solve this problem (on console, at least) -- change the mechanics of heavy attacks. If a player successfully casts a heavy attack, the player should have to release the button/trigger and hold it again to launch another heavy attack. Viola, no more rubberbanding.

    Forget about 100k "in-game gold" from a player's PC.

    Start something like this harassment based on chat response and i can likely retire early.

    Being bad at pvp this was one of my favorite parts of Aion! Die botting farming scum!!

    I'd be happy if I was just able to knock the botters off of their perches. That way they would only be attacking the air and getting absolutely nothing out of it. Or I'd like to snap them with their own rubberbands. :p

    While i am sure some do this already, just so you "wish i could fight crime" types gung *** rip roaring tough guys know.. you can walk out your door most likely any day of the week, go into a troubled neighborhood and walk up and help stop crime IRl as much as you want - within the confines of the law.

    I am positive that already so many of you law and order gotta/wanna/shoulda get involved types are likely doing that all the time, but for those who aren't just letting you know you dont have to be so frustrated by not getting to stop crime in the digital Rpg.

    i do NOT recommend this practice myself. i am NOT encouraging it.

    but it is an option you could pursue - most likely after reaching out to groups involved with this like local PD laisons and other such community watch or other groups.

    To be honest, there is only one thing about the botters and rubberbanders that gets to me, besides the fact that they are basically cheating. They cause lag and I believe they have caused my game to crash. As far as I know, their actions are not taking anything away from the loot I get or the experience I earn. Before I knew what botters were, I actually would go through and try to revive dead players with soul gems.
