I'm torn on whether this is a good idea. I dislike PVP on my own and the no CP week event was a nightmare for me XD. However, it could add another level of immersion which I will gladly take and SQUEEE over. Plus everything in this game is so beautifully done, I'm here to stay

✭I would like to have a Warcraft style system where everyone can flag themselves for PVP at any time and anywhere. Also to opt out whenever and where ever they wish exept after fighting another player, that should trigger 5 minute countdown before you can turn off the PVP flag.

ZakuBeta✭✭✭As a PvE player, I would be fine with a separate server for a full PvP version of the game. That might stop all the people who start whining when I don't duel and they get my auto decline duels message. I've had some one follow me for an hour casting abilities around my character, and crying the entire time about how much of a weenie I was for not dueling. A bit irritating. After awhile I entered a dungeon, and he didn't follow. As the standard for the game, no, wouldn't like it at all.4

✭✭✭✭✭I wish there was PVP in all the zones... such that:- when you quest away from your home city, you are paranoid that any moment could be your last
- you need to put everything in the bank because if you are killed all your items could be looted
- when you get a quest that is far away you actually need to consider if it is worth the risk to do it alone or wait for a buddy
- That death is very punishing and you are scared out of your mind if you are outnumbered
- who ever kills you will have equally scary repercussions with the justice system
- a thief can sneak into your house and steal your crap. because you stored some things in your house
- City like Davon's Watch can be raided by the opposing faction if every one can collaborate together, and if the king(who ever is the boss) is killed rewards will be awesome
- you can get real time contracts to hunt down player criminal scum
- all the gear is simple, and provides nothing but damage mitigation with out any 2 3 4 5 x bonuses.
- and much more
I know this will never happen, but man.... I would love the game 100 times more. until I am ganked over and over and rage quit, and come back because I like torturing myself.

PVP in the fundemental design focus has allready screwed this game, it does not need to be screwed more.4 -

Cryodiil, IC, well it depends on the campaign.
Both have NPC's and quests and such, so which zones don't have PvE?

This type of mechanic created a significant amount of frustration for PvE players in WoW. I would PvE a group of NPC's, using direct target and AOE. An opposing faction player would flag themselves PvP, then step into my AOE. Pow, now I am flagged PvP and fighting the NPC's along with the enemy player. Yes, clearly what I was intending (/sarcasm). Griefers will find ways to grief no matter what, it is ingrained in their DNA in the nucleotide sequences. We can only hope that their telomeres will be shorter than most.
In short, my vote for this subject is no and heck no. I walked away from WoW after numerous years and 11 characters at level 85. So far I am really liking ESO and do NOT want to see it turned into WoW.(50) Quigster Bosmer Stamplar

BenLocoDete✭✭✭At this rate having it is very unlikely. Instead it would be more fitting to revamp the justice system and add it only to a few new areas with open PVP like Cyrodiil and IC.
Something like the territory south of Cyrodiil, in Leyawin i.e. weakened by the war, criminality went rampant and the Count is hiring blackwood mercenaries(enforcers) to deal with the rising smugglers and spies. That area would be very hostile, PvP and enforcers x criminals battling to control the city resources.

So your answer is for people to play an old game we've already played a million times over, that they aren't releasing DLC for any more? Right. Got it. there are a few medical procedures i have gone thru that i would wish for less than all PVP ESO but thats about it.Proudly skooma free while talks-when-drunk is in mandatory public housing.

Because the game's PvE population (which is the majority of the game's population by a vast amount), doesn't want Open World PvP in an MMORPG; regardless of how we might love MMO's, we should have to forego playing an MMORPG entirely and stick to a single-player RPG?

If you want Open World PvP in an MMORPG, might I suggest that you go play EVE Online/BDO/Archeage? Because those games' open world PvP has royally tanked those games, and they're little more than uber-powerful zerg's tromping mindlessly over any/all n00bs that they come across.
Look at those games if you (for some reason) think that Open World PvP would ever be "good" for ESO.Pro Tip: It wouldn't be "good" for ESO, it would be the death knell for this game.
