ESO crashes after logging in, during load screen, prior to loading characters.

It seems to be pointing to D3DCOMPILER_47.dll.

I have completely formatted my drives and reinstalled Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I've updated Windows and all drivers. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled ESO. This issue occurs when trying to use both the 32-bit and 64-bit clients.

I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this. I didn't notice the issue until Monday. Prior to that I was able to login and play without issue.

I've attached my Dxdiag results and the instance in Event Viewer.

My thread was removed where I describe same problem. Even in location without people game crashes during character load. Nothing helps to fix this. Problem since patch 2.7.8 and in 2.7.9 not fixed. Sometimes I can log in game. In 2.7.7 no problems.
Game not save any logs. Still thinking ZOS must full remake game engine. Problem with game engine.

Since it appears to be a .dll issue, I sort of think it is a problem with Visual C++ Redist but I'm not totally sure. I also have the new AMD drivers that people seem to be having issues with as well. I'll do some more troubleshooting when I get home and post my results.

After uninstalling the most recent AMD drivers and reinstalling older ones (16.1.2 I think), it still didn't work. I've had my computer overclocked for quite some time, so I went into the BIOS and set everything back to defaults while having the most up to date BIOS software.

I'm now able to get in while using the latest AMD drivers. I do get the flickering grass, but I just have grass shut off for now.

I think the issue was caused by my XMP profile. I'm not sure what would have caused it, but I think something was changed with how the RAM handles the game.

I guess I would suggest setting your BIOS to default. Even if you haven't edited your BIOS, I would recommend giving it a shot.

I repaired game too. But problem was in addons. Removing addons not enough for solve problem, need remove SavedVariables too bacause game by strange way used SavedVariables even addon not installed and problems with this files cause game crashes. Fantastic, first time I see something like this.

I repaired the game (with the deletes) and disabled addons, still getting booted off.

I'm getting sick of it taking an hour to check mail on 8 characters and feed one mount because every other character log in attempt crashes the game. I then have to log in again, log in a character, might or might not get a second one logged in before the game crashes to the login screen. It used to take 20 minutes to check mail, feed one mount and do four writs. I'm getting very frustrated with this night after night to the point I dread logging in.

Still getting booted to the login screen...now its every character so its taking an hour and a half to check mail on 8 characters and feed one horse. I really wish this would get fixed.

I have not been able to play ESO for almost 2 months now. I have been trying to log in every day and still cannot even get to the opening screen. I have tried to login on a friend's computer and it works. I can login just fine which means it probably has something to do with my computer and the server connecting correctly. It keeps saying that ESO has unexpectedly stopped. I've uninstalled, reinstalled. I've tried repairing. I've dumped my add-ons. I have updated my drivers/Windows updates, etc. Firewall, anti-virus, and other things alike checked and rechecked, done and redone, over and over again. Nothing.

    Here's exactly what happens:

I click on the ESO icon on task bar.
    Launcher client opens fine.
I am receiving all ESO updates.
The game updates just fine all the way to 100%.
    I click the "Play" button.
    Screen starts to load.
    Full screen is black.
    ESO login music begins playing.
Full screen is still completely black, blinks a few times...
Then small window immediately pops up. "We're sorry. ESO has unexpectedly crashed."
    Exit the window.
    Back to desktop/ESO client launcher.
    Rinse and repeat. Same thing.
    Cannot progress any further.

Please help or post if you have similar situation or any viable solutions. Thank you.

You may download vcruntime 2010 32bit from MS and install 'cause the Launcher is written with Visual Studio 2010 32bit and cannot be found in the game folders. I discovered this month ago (before morrowind) and mentioned in german forum but nothing changed today :(.

    Needs to install:
    Visual C++ Runtime 2010 32bit (required)
Visual C++ Runtime 2017 32bit or 64bit (depends on OS)

Note: Visual C++ Runtime 2015 is not needed because VCRuntime 2017 has the same CLR Version and its backwards compatible
