''NECROPOTTY II'' Magicka Nightblade Solo PVP Build
1 Medium 1 Heavy 5 Light, Destro + Resto Build

5xNecropotence
3xWillpower
Maelstrom Destro Staff (Flame or lighting preferred)
Master Resto Staff

Build Video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifEgFhVosgs

Timeline of content in video:
Intro - 0:10
Item Setup - 1:00
Potions & poisons - 2:40
Stat Sheet (mundus+foodbuff) - 4:20
Skills - 5:22
CP setup - 10:27
Tips & Outro - 12:05

INTRO:
This build is meant to play solo or small group (2 to 3)
PROs: Good sustained damage + Huge single target damage + big shields
CONs: Destro Flame Staff & Master Resto Staff are hard to get (RNG base) + Hard to master since the build requires many buffs to be effective

BUILD IN WORDS:

SETS

LifrzDn.png
WHY NOT SPINNERS + NECROPOTENCE? Spinner is no doubt a pretty sweet set for MagNB however in order to run Grothdarr + Necropotence, Spinner has to be dropped. Willpower + maelstrom staff on the other hand gives lots of raw stats and spell damage as well.
WHY SKORIA OVER GROTHDARR/INFERNAL? Skoria is my choice because as a fire staff user and darkelf skoria will produce the highest single target damage compare to the other proc sets. However in a group of >4 Grothdar and infernal could be really useful. Pirate helm could be handy as well if u want to go the tanky route.
OPTIONS you could drop necropotence & skoria and run something like vicious death & grothdarr if you are into bombing big groups

CP
Very straight forward and generic. Just make sure u have more points into Bastion and some into crit damage.

SKILLS
Destro bar: y5IqvmE.png
Resto bar: r7pb47T.png
Some skills are interchangable. Double take, Inner Light, mark target & siphoning attacks are good as well

No offense mate, but this build needs a lot of work imo, you don't even have cloak on your bar...
Also, I would consider swapping lotus fan for magelight on front bar.

Personally, I don't use cripple or fear, I just agony & it takes care of 2 functions with 1 skill. That would free you up to be able to add cloak.

What campaign were you playing on? Sooo many low level cp players!
The build is decent, but your health seems too low for typical pvp, you do have shields, but if you're fighting against proc-tards they can hit you for all of your health if they get lucky; maybe 22k works for you?
Your stam pool is nice, I agree 15k stam is needed now days. I didn't have time to watch the whole video but I was surprised there weren't more templars spamming radiant destruction on you.

Cloak is not reliable at all. That being said its a preference thing. Lotus fan is a 70% snare + DOT + gap close while my grothdarr proc.
Without fear u can never kill a tanky blocking target and fear is an AOE CC(the best in the game in fact). Cripple gives me the major expedition & a really hard hitting Dot.
I am playing in TF EU PC. Main campaign in PC EU
Watch the whole video(Both of them). Then u would know how the build function.

I have watched both videos now, but my position pretty much remains the same because you and I have different playstyles. I don't see anything wrong with your playstyle, I'm just making comments for things to think about or try.

I understand it not being "reliable", but spamming it often gets you out of difficult problems.
Personally I don't feel like grothdarr & lotus fan work well with a destro staff, especially if you don't use the new "destro ultimate".
Typically if using a destro staff it's better to do sorc-like playstyle & stay at range from your target.
This build specifically adheres to your playstyle & it's cool you're doing your own thing, but I'm just making general observations.

IMO I personally got rid of cripple because having to split my CP even further & put points into thaumaturge when that was really the only dot I was using just seemed to 'cripple me'.

I'm well aware that fear is the best CC in the game, it's just that it forces you to play "close range" on your opponent in order to utilize it; again something that isn't often done/seen with a destro staff.

Maybe if I had a maelstrom sharpened destro I would consider using a destro staff, but I call myself a 'magicka melee' specifically for the fact that I use duel wield swords instead of a destro staff, also my main damage ability is concealed strike which use to be classified as a 'magicka melee' skill; not sure anymore...
Personally my dmg numbers aren't as high as I would like them but I seem to do ok for some reason.

Many people are against using poisons yet many still use them. I haven't been recently but I may start again, not sure yet.
I use a greatly different CP setup because I worry about 'diminishing returns' ie.. the more points you put into one thing the less you get out of it. So I never put more than 80 points into any 1 tree skill.

IMO the key to 'ganking' which is primarily a stam blade thing, is the initial heavy attack. Many builds are running & opening with hard hitting heavy attacks so I put more cp into reduce damage from heavy attack.
I also try to get my crit damage reduced at the cap by putting I think, 27 points into that tree? (need to verify)
You may not need this due to using shields & shields not being able to be crit on.

I like having a few more points into mooncalf for the extra stam recovery even though it's minimal. We also get some extra recovery if using relentless focus morph. I'm not sure why but it seems like your crit was really low, maybe I'm reading this incorrectly but I think it said 35%?
I didn't see what mundus stone you are using? Maybe atro or maybe shadow?
I've currently been using thief & a few more points into elfborn.

Also to note, I run impale & recommend it. Not sure if you can fit it on your bar, but if you could it would be nice.
Once your vids finished playing, another vid auto-started & I was listening while I was typing.

Cloak is a trash skill, if you're not ganking it's probably not worth a bar slot

Well, I typically use it for the 8% dmg reduction, but it's ability to "hide you" is pretty much negated by miat's new addon

Miat's doesn't show the position of enemy players. You can also prevent them getting heavy attack warnings by turning your crosshairs away from them until the heavy attack is just about ready to fire. I wouldn't drop cloak based on that addon.

Cloak is so bad and it's kind of over kill because if you have shade you already have a repositioning skill. And crippling grasp is like the best skill a magblade has. I pretty much spam it on anyone who is a melee character and then kite around with my shade when people get to close. This build is pretty solid i use to run this build but switched to spinners because I was able to run alchemist on the back bar, and still have a monster set so it's like I could run 5/5/2 and I couldn't do that with necroprentence because the buff only applied on the bar that had the 5 pieces

    Lol, this video title :D
Once you find yourself (truly solo) against more than 6 opponents, you will stop considering Elemental Storm unbalanced and will gladly use it to even stand a chance.

At that moment I don't have it morphed yet. Thus i was using soul tether. Gonna embrace it as soon as i get it morphed. muahahaha

I use a similar build, but over willpower and maelstrom staves use alchemist, all spell damage glyphs and magicka/magicka recovery food. The health from alchemist sits me at 20k and I do well with it.

As mentioned impale is great, why ele Drain?
