Gotten gold stuff from master chests or does the thunter passive not work? I've tried with 6 sofar and only felt lousy for wasting gold on changing cp.

This is one of those myths that seems to be spreading around ESO right now.

I don't believe Legendary items are possible in world chests at all, they're exclusive to rewards or vendors to limit their flow into the game.

You'll get 2 purples or a map, never a legendary from what I've seen. I've opened a lot of chests and asked a lot of folks on stream as well.

I would be interested if anyone could screenshot if they ever did

My main question is, where the hell does TH passive in any way imply that it will make gold items appear from treasure chests?

I mean, this for sure is one of these urban myths that were put out by trolls and found their way into legend by wish-it-be-true...

Only Kutas. Those, and perfect roe, if you consider fish as a container.

Also, both can drop without TH as well.

I have the CP passive treasure hunter, never gotten any gold. Never gotten anything gold from veteran dungeon hm either (dont do them that much though).
I open every chest I find.. and run a around a lot for farming.. so lots of chests,...

Pretty sure the treasure hunter passive gives you an extra drop, it doesn't increase the quality.

From patch notes awhile ago:
Treasure Hunter: Reduced the chance of receiving a second set item, but the chest will still always have an additional item in it if you have this passive (typically a blue-quality item, with a chance of it being either purple or another piece of the aforementioned item sets).

I see, I know I've gotten purple gear instead of blue. Treasure hunter is described as:

"Increases the quality of items recieved from treasure chests". One could extrapolate that master chests would improve purple items to gold items, as they improve blue items to purple. It sucks that it does not work that way considering TH is not in a heavily used cp tree.

I've always thought the passive increases the rank of the chest itself and the odds of set pieces out of it. So a simple chest with the treasure hunter passive would have the set drop odds of an intermediate chest. Intermediate --> advanced. I didnt think it had any effect on master though. Again theres alot of rumors about how the passive actually works, this is just what i believe in lol

Kuta only though correct? I don't believe you can get tempers from them.
