This is an larger problem in wow, some people pay real money to get carried and people got banned.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

If this is a big problem in WoW, what's the point of writing it on ESO forums...

Like most things regarding this sort of stuff, I'm never sure if these devs ban people because of the morals surrounding such practices or if it's because the devs or publishers aren't the ones nickel and dimming these people.

they didn't give parma bans for people running CE and spamming ults like crazy – they got unbanned after about 2 weeks.
don't expect anything regarding vMoL trading, AP trading, etc.

Generally I have known people to do it more for in game gold than for real money.

I have a friend who does RMT work in other games and normally tells me information on prices or services offered on ESO if I ask what's current.

From a conversation about a month ago there isn't a great market in ESO for most things because it's generally very easy. Just your normal gold/items etc for real money.

Yes, they don't like it if its money involved and they don't get an cut :)

And paying to get carried is stupid, worse somebody with the skin who plays badly would just be tragically.

Oh nice, why should I bother with working in RL if I can just earn money by playing a game?
But to be honest I don't think there are many people who would do this here. Our guild got asked a few times if we would carry people for ingame gold and while we refused to do so, I know some other guilds accept those offers for relatively cheap gold prizes, so why should anyone pay a significant amount of real money?

It's a real thing weather people realize it or not. I know a guy who does flawless vma runs for gold. He offered me a free flawless run (we're good mates), but as much as I want the title I cant do it

I know alot of people were selling vma runs when 1T dropped as well. Idk about vmol, I've been offered to do weekend progression runs amd they nearly always succeed but that's not free at all

Because generally you're not going to make a great wage doing RMT.

Sure you might get some bonus income if you cash out in a game, but to live off RMT you'd be spending more hours than a 9-5 job doing nothing but grinding and making less money.

For me in the UK and going off the first site on a Google search I would have to be making 500k a day in ESO to equal my current wage (and I am on a bad wage).

There are some services which would pay more but it's really down to rarity/difficulty and anything which is worth money is going to be an investment.

Also you would be risking your accounts. If ZOS is anywhere near competent at combatting RMT (which sadly I don't think they are) they would be banning accounts which have shared the same log-in IP/ID not just the offending selling account.

This is one of the common reasons other MMO's I have played have also recommended not to account share, because if the person you shared with starts doing RMT you account could be caught up when they start throwing the bans out.

I don't like the vMoL skin trading thing, at all. It's supposed to be earned. If you're not good you don't deserve the skin.

Welcome to the realities of life. There are many who buy things they're not good enough to get on their own.

Yes, pay to be carried is just like cheating. Well, in the language of being carried, if you really look at it, a good group that can pass any vet trial, is being "legitimately" carried by the healers and tank (if the healers and tank are effective.) Knowing around the mechanics is part of the battle, but, without the constant effective healing, everybody would die, and without the tank effectively keeping the bosses stationary, the dps dudes/dudettes would probably get one or two shotted. If any fails to revive the healers or tank right away, yes, everybody is toast. So, vet trials, and I'm sure even hard mode (or vet dungeons), a run can be completed quite easily when the healers and tank are working right. However, kudos to all those and groups that can complete the trials.. those adds and bosses have some insane hp, holy crap!

Selling runs and other things is a very profitable in Final Fantasy 14. The Party Finder is filled with people selling Alexander Savage runs and lots of other end game content.

There was also a time you could buy Emperor, someone once offered a friend of mine 600k to vacate the throne on an empty campaign.

its not against the rulers to sell ingame services for ingame money by ingame transactions
it has been told many times

This is true, but scamming can be considered a violation of our Terms of Service.

Sorry guys, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom already clarified that people paying gold for the skin isnt punishable as long as the sellers actually deliver the skin and dont just scam the buyer.

Yes, problem is that its very hard to regulate.
No rules against carrying someone, no rule against giving someone a lot of gold,
And as I said, if you run with the skin in an dungeon and is not good its just stupid.
