The limit of only 10 for pets/mounts/assistants in housing is absurd

I bought the Earthtear Cavern today with great excitement. My plan was to decorate it mainly with all my pets and mounts, plus add a lot of natural scenery and walkways. I was going to have a flock of netches floating across the water, a group of dragon frogs feeding on ancestor moths, a whole herd of horses grazing in the field, a family of lions relaxing on a grassy knoll, a bunch of spriggan mounts surrounding my statue of Hircine, my golden retriever waiting for me at the door, my cat resting up top a bookshelf, and so on. You get the point.

But to my dismay, I quickly found out that pets and mounts (and even assistants) are all considered "other collectibles", and despite having this massive space to fill, there is a limit of only 10 of them. I have over 40 mounts and pets, and most of the people I know have more than that. This feature of allowing us to put our pets and mounts in our houses was highly touted, and an awesome idea by the developers. So why in the world would you limit it to only 10?? What's worse, if I want to put my assistants in the house, that number is further reduced to only 7. What difference does it make if I place a pet or a table? Why would you allow 700 other objects to be placed, but only 10 pets and mounts?

Please, please reconsider this design decision. I don't want to fill my house up with a bunch of tables and chairs. Why not allow us to place 800 objects, and let us choose what they are.

Agreed! At the very least it should be 20-25 in the large houses.

Put 50 slots in other collectibles. Or make different limits for different houses. I wanted to make a zoo, but a 9 animal barn isn't much of a zoo.

I should be able to place more mounts and pets in my manor.

I completely agree. What I personally find strange about it, is that they are limiting the placement of items that are mainly bought in the crown store.

Before I saw how it all worked, I actually bought a couple pets for the sole purpose of just having them in my house. Now that I see how it actually works and how limited it is, I will be spending less on these kinds of things.

Seems like they are hurting their sales by doing this. At least in my case, anyway. :/

If they had pathing and wandered, or "interacted" with some of the furnishing like NPCs I could understand the limit. Aren't they still pretty much stationary though?

Not only do I want them to increase the limit, I would love it if they added more types. Like mannequins of our characters that we can place around to make our houses look truly lived in. I agree with a 25 or higher limit.

I am in the same boat. I was planning on buying more pets from the crown store to fill my house, but now that plan is on hold until they up the limit. It's not like the engine can't handle it. Go to any banker in any major city, and you will see more pets running around in that tiny space than I am allowed to put in the entirety of my instanced manor.

They are stationary. They do have some animation. Basically the same animation as when you are just standing still.

IDK i think i would prefer more animated pet/steed options to higher limits.

Wonder how many duels you can run at once in there?

It least you didn't buy the "real" cave the ebonheart mansion like I did. All the light in the world won't help you there. :/

Sure a lot of limitations for a $100 house.

Here's more things you can't do:
    • Access your guild stores and guild banks from within the property
    • Have a merchant that you can pay to repair armor
    • Have other people that have permission to ADD or Remove furnishings (i.e guild officers)
    • have NPCs that actually live there and actually move around
    • Have a wayshrine so you can port out to anywhere for free
    • Be actually able to store stuff other than furnishings

How are people supposed to use this as a guild hall if they can't even access the guild bank?
