Welp... I crossed my fingers and was begging this wouldn't be over 10k crowns but unfortunately looks like it hits 13k crowns.... I really don't get having something cost 100$ unfurnished being some selling point like jeez why couldn't it have been idk 6k crowns or at-least give ESO+ subs a reduction in price.
Edit: Before people start claiming "Oh the space is what makes it so expensive" If I could I would build my own home on the unreal engine and bring it to ESO (would cost me under 80$ to do so after checking for materials such as textures, props, and lighting.)

Are they going to put in the option to buy crowns with a quantity field? It is annoying to have to buy the same pack multiple times, and often the bank will refuse payment after 3 or 4. This is something really basic.

Tell me when was the last time Xbox had a crown sale because I forgot as it's been a long time. Regardless the price point is over 100$ roughly 120 and nearly 200$ for a furnished one lmao..

Guys, its only $100 unfurnished, $120 furnished, I mean come on, its a very important MICROtransaction, and think about it, you'll be supporting ZOS and their customer friendly pricing strategies. Really letting them know this is alllllll cooool. Thought paying a sub would give you all the DLC? NOPE, but dont complain, Morrowind is an 'expansion' that just matches the previous DLCs in content...but not price. Want to buy a house? Well a digital microtransaction in ESO is only more than the collectors edition of any major game out there or say the combination of ESO/Morrowind currently on the store. *shrug* Really can't see why people are complaining.

Crowns haven't been on sale for a while and with the housing and new crates and morrowind coming, I would be shocked (pleasantly though) if they went on sale again anytime soon before the end of the year (if then). I did buy some when they were on sale, but I doubt many had the ability to buy enough to stay padded for all future crown store purchases - I certainly did not. I think we are well past the date (except for a fraction of 1%ers that bought hundreds of dollars of on sale crowns at the time) being able to use crown sales as an excuse to artificially lower the crazy prices they have been reaching lately.

So are you suggesting that $65 is an acceptable price?

The OP suggest 6k in crowns which comes down to $25 to $30 if you're saying on sale.

Otherwise it's more accurate to say $80-$100 as some customers who are willing to accumulate via eso Plus and a sale

I am just stating a fact, if you want the new shiny thing then you pay for it now. Or you saved your crowns and didn't buy the new shiny thing before hand.

The price that is acceptable is one that people will pay. I can all but guarantee you that quite a few people will buy this house, both unfurnished or not. What I personally feel doesn't matter, either I have the means to buy it and I feel its worth it or I don't and I don't. The fact is though, they put crowns on sale. When they do, this house is significantly cheaper than 100$.

You don't need this house for anything, it doesn't give you a title, it doesn't have storage, it doesn't give you more people inside of it. It's a shiny, if you want it buy it, if you don't, don't.

    5500 crowns = $39.99 retail / $24.99 sale

That puts the rate at around 1 crown for $0.00727 to $0.00454.

That makes the total value unfurnished (13k) $94.5218 to $59.0672
    Furnished (16.5k) would be $119.97 to $74.97

I believe there may be a crown sale coming up in April for the anniversary, but remember when those sales happen, the value of your crowns go down and you end up with higher prices, like this.

$100 for an in-game home with very little functionality. LOL The game market is going to collapse again like it did in the 80's if companies keep pushing the envelope with this type of garbage.

I wonder if @ZOS_MattFiror @ZOS_RichLambert or the rest of the crew ever feel the least bit slimy after stuff like this. "I know, let's introduce a 'free' content update that introduces housing, which we know a lot of players really want. But, we'll do the bare bones minimum, copy and paste existing buildings, not provide any of the features most people would expect with housing, make it so grindy and expensive and joyless to use this feature that it drives people to the crown store, and then charge so much for the feature that many of the players could develop a serious drug habit for less money. It'll be great!"

Everytime i see the blah blah "copy and paste existing buildings" comments i chuckle at the thought of how many rage threads there would have been if housing did not use the buildings and furnishings in the game so that the houses players could build couldn't look like the rest of the game world.

Any price is an acceptable price. No worse than 4k crowns for a mount or any price for hair.

The target for a lot of these might just be getting ESO+ subs to spend down their crowns.

Not to point out the obvious here. But when you look at the other crown prices for the other houses...

    Apartments - 1k ($10.00)
    Small Homes - 3-4k ($25.00)
    Medium Homes - 5-6.5k ($40.00 roughly)
    Large Homes - 7.5-8.5k ($60.00 roughly)
    Manors - Starting at 10k ($80.00 roughly)

....you begin to see a pattern of a rising cost that rivals or is even greater than the base games price ($29.99) and even rivals or is even greater than the Gold Edition's price ($59.99)

If you have houses in game that cost more than your entire game, your sending a clear message. If ZOS wants that message to be good then something needs to give here, either the prices for crowns or the prices for houses. Either way, these prices are getting way too outta hand for a mmo. I got several houses in other mmo's and I never had to spend as much as I did with eso to get the acceptable living conditions that I would like for my character to have for themselves.

I understand that for whales, these prices aren't that much but when you look at the bigger picture here. There is clearly something wrong with the pricing as we have alot of houses in-game that cost more than both eso editions. which isn't right.

It is only a matter of time before someone pops in here to say it is free, since they got all their Crowns for free with ESO Plus.

So, might as well say $0-$100.

    1) They could have built new houses with existing assets that obviously match the aesthetic of existing homes, while providing a larger variety of layouts.

    2) Copy and pasted layouts aren't so much my issue. More that their quality of content to crown pricing ratio seems to be way unbalanced lately. If you're going to be charging $100 for something, optional or not, it needs to be a refined, meaty piece of content. Housing is neither in my opinion.

The base game has been out for 3 years so the price has been discounted. It was $60 at launch, not $29.99. So let's compare apples to apples please.
