I am more shocked with the people thinking that this price is reasonable, than with the price itself.
What's wrong with you people... with your acceptance on this the prices will be higher and higher. Is there even any limit for you?

Everyone has different perspectives. EX: You just resubbed your ESO+ for 6 months and now have 9,000 crowns. Maybe buying a crown pack for $40 doesn't seem so steep.
EX 2: Last crown sale you bought (2)Large Packs for $50 total - giving you 11K crowns + resubbed for 6 months = 20K crowns.
Different perspectives.

It's not about perspectives. If you change crowns for RL money, the price for such useless digital stuff is far from being reasonable. No matter where you live and how much you earn. Thinking this item is NOT overpriced is nothing but absurd.
And thinking you get crowns from subbing for free is a mistake. You do pay for these crowns. If they were not included, the price for ESO+ would be lower.

highest sale on first superman comic is like over 2 mil real dollars.
highest sale on first batman is over 1 mil.
Deciding something is "wrong with you" for a group of folks willing to pay ~100 USD maybe more maybe less depending on sales, sub crowns etc for a piece of content they believe they will get sufficient playtime and enjoyment out of is... well...
lets say it raises more questions about "is something wrong with you" than those who buy.
And BTW you just ticked my meter a bit close to the "buy" than it was.
but still gonna wait a bit before committing.
But next crowns sale... definitely a possibility and one a slight bit closer now than before.

... there is a ton of options for that place. imagine putting a big platform/plank flooring for a large sqaure or hexagonal "arena" floating out in the water?
BUT GUYS, ITS A VERY IMPORTANT MICROTRANSACTION, sure you could buy the entire game for less, sure you could buy 2 other AAA titles for the same money, BUT WHY WOULD YOU? When you could own a digital house, in an mmo? I mean there's that big fight in america over their minimum wage being $8 or something, so someone would only have to work 15 hours to get a furnished house...wait no...I didn't take into account taxes...oh well, STILL A BARGAIN, just think about all the effort that some guy put in over the weekend to clear out the mantikora put in some water and place it on the crown store!

I was thinking the same. Why buy several complete games when you can buy a single room in ESO!
I won't judge anyone on how they spend the money they work for, but personally, I feel the pricing of pretty much all the houses (and lately most of the crown store) is bordering on madness. I guess as long as people continue to buy them...

^ ZOS, I think you are so happy and lucky for having such generous customers like this one above.

- Some players don't use their ESO+ crowns, at all - so they may have 13-17k in crowns available.
- Crowns were/can be purchased during sales - making the price roughly 40% cheaper.
- Combination of the 2 options above
- Only 1k more than a house you can purchase with virtual gold.

Why does it matter so much to you that you need to post this 3x? What people do with their money they earned is none of your buisness.
You have absolutely no idea what goes into game level development if you think "some guy" made this over the weekend.

I've been dabbling with Ark mods with their new incentive program for the modders, yeah, that room, a couple of days maybe, not even late ones. The tools and textures already exist, yeah, a couple of days. What do you think creating something like that is like? The Matrix?

I agree there is a LOT of space however, I would not plan on having the "arena" on the water.
1. Ground targeted skills will go through the platforms. (e.g. sorc mines, templar rings, etc.) Resulting in the player being out of range of any effects.
2. Knockback and other disorienting effects can knock a player through the planks or other player placed items, so that they become stuck.
3. If you have a target dummy in your arena, "you cannot initiate combat on a player placed item" will torment you.
I personally intend to have the dueling area on the large area you enter into and the crafting space out on the water. Or on a platform above the dueling area, on top of the columns above.

But maybe you could give us all a glimpse at your insight, how much time do you think needs to have been spent on content for it to warrant a $100 price tag? Coz AAA games go for alot less than that.

The butthurt is strong in this one.
On 1 - yeah i know that but i have not had a chance to see what that means for "over swimming" platforms or docks. like i said, want to see some actual performance issues tested first.
...

I will be buying it in the near future, hopefully.

I've built levels for games that had the option for player created content, including custom textures and I know others that have done the same.
