.I don't even think i want to log in tomorrow.
So I need one purple strenght of the automaton ring to finish my build. Darkshade Caverns 2 was the pleadge yesterday, so I'll find someone to run the pleadge with.. well I wasn't able to log in before server roll over. Still I queue up for vet DC2.... 40 min until the queue pops... I am running around doing over world quests because how else do you pass 40 min? So the queue pops and I am in an overworld dungeon? quest location not in the main zone.. so for whatever reason I am not pulled straight into the dungeon. So I finish what I am doing *shrug* walk out of that zone and someone leaves the group and I say
"huh why did they leave?"
"say where the hell are you?"
"I say oh well I was waiting in queue for 40 min so I was just finishing this overworld quest, let me find a wayshrine"
*second person leaves*
So I finally get there and I was just sitting at the enterance trying to find two people to replace the people that left. We find a tank (the healer stayed). I am still at the enterance trying to find another dps. I go to join the healer and tank to see what we could do.. and I finally realise they are almost at the end of the dungeon already....
Turns out they had just started running the dungeon without me or without a word about it.. Then they all rage quit at the Netches.
We find a 4th and do the last two bosses, I don't get the ring, I don't get the pleadge because you have to kill three bosses and that one was already dead. I did at least get the quest completed, I guess.
I waited more than an 1 hour in queue to try again, then I had to log out before it finished.
How do people even do pleadges every single day? dungeons are terrible... I am not an MMO player what am I doing here... why do I ahve to do them to get gear its infurating?
This isn't the worst thing...
So yesterday I sent my guild leader and crafter to craft me some DLC gear I can't, I can upgrade it myself but I don't have access to it. Got them to make me a Clever alchemist sharpend Bow, I had mentioned I also wanted a Clever Alchemist Nirnhorned Greatsword but they haven't researched it yet, still a few more days. So they made me a Bow and then they also had somone (presumebly someone at the crafting station) make me the greatsword as a bonus. I paid for that in addtion to the original commission.
Well my blacksmithing and my woodworking is on different characters which sucks with furnishing but I didn't know that when I did it and started researching. I was on my blacksmith character took the sword upgraded it to ledgendary and put it in the bank. later after all the failing with the dungeon running. I log into my other character pick up and upgrade the bow... go to equip the greatsword and notice my Max hp goes down as I hover over it.. then i notice...90cp... not 160cp. :'( :'(.
I am pretty certain my guild leader was also hoodwinked, since I paid them cp160 mats and I had them craft me the rest of my Clever alchemist gear no problems. Now I feel terrible I wasted so many mats because I was too stupid to actually check it was 160... but I trusted my guild leader, I still do actually, so I trusted that the gear was good and what I wanted.
This is the first time I ahve ever upgraded anything to Gold and I wasted it. :'(
Tl;DR Dungeons, people and group finder suck, Golding < 160 cp weapons accidently sucks, I feel terrible and stupid.

✭✭✭✭✭Treat it as a learning experience, go take a relaxing bath/shower and get a good nights sleep or make yourself some lunch you really like then come back fresh to try again with new refreshed energy.

✭✭✭I once crafted an entire set V160 and made it golden, applied kuta enchantments en then I found out I forgot to add traits to every part. Deconstructing at least yielded be back a few yellow mats.٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶

But do keep in mind that those people could have been waiting for 40 minutes too and so did not want to wait for someone else to hand in their quest or find a wayshrine. RoyalPink06✭✭✭✭✭Ah we've all had horrible days here and there, and we've all done something completely *** while crafting (decon something important, upgrade trash loot by accident, the list goes on). Walk away, take a break from the game for a day or 2 or even a week, then hop back in the saddle.
What did you learn? Ask your guild mates to help you farm for your gear, or if no one will, join a better guild that is PVE-oriented for people interested in dungeon running. As for the gear, well, always check your s**t

Yeah I was really sad that day. I asked with a ticket for a refund of materials, knowing only myself was to blame. Never hurts to try anyway but logically I didn't get my mats back. I killed a lot of monkeys and squirrels that day in ESO.٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶

So, hope you have a better experience with the dungeon today. If not, don't worry.. you will have tomorrow, or the next day you log on, to make it better.

Sounds like a bad day. The first part, I can tell you how to avoid that easily, though:
Do NOT make other people wait for you when you the dungeon queue pops. When it pops, go straight to the dungeon, do NOT "finish what you are doing".
If the dungeon finder doesn't automatically teleport you, say "game glitched, have to teleport in", and get yer butt in there. They've been waiting for the queue to pop and they're ready to go. Making them wait is just bad etiquette. That's why those people left.
The second part... what was your CP when you asked the guild leader to make the gear and how many mats did you give him?
CP 160 gear takes 10 times the mats to make over <160 gear. If you need 15 mats for CP150 gear, it will be 150 for the CP160 gear.
Also, if you were CP90 when you asked, they might have assumed you planned on using the gear right away.1 -

✭Sounds like you need a good dungeon-running guild. I don't do pledges often, but I have a few friends who are pretty much always up for a run when I want one. That's what you need: a core of players who you can trust to run pledges with. Guildies are a lot less likely to screw you over like that.
(And I feel you about having crafters on multiple characters before Homestead. Such a pain to train up a dedicated "master crafter" after my other characters have already mastered their individual crafts.

If you told me to do something else whille I am in the middle of something in real life I'd tell you to be paitent and wait as well. it is probably my number one pet peeve. let me finish!
They didn't even say "Hey, I am in a hurry" they just started running it without even a word. I cannot sit around doing nothing for 40 min. if a quest makes me go into a mini dungeon then to stop in the middle and have to fight through everything again. The dungeon in question was tiny it would take me probably an actual minute most of which is the running. So yeah I could of just left and came back but I had no idea I had to.
I get that I am super inexperienced with dungeons and the whole group finder with 0 idea about MMO ediquette having never having play one before this one. I don't even know how dungeons work. I can and will die to the mechanics of bosses since I don't even know what they are. Oh no do a normal first?... I need purple jewels... I have to run vet.
Join a PVE guild? but I don't actually like PVE.... and most talk about trails or whatever when advertising. My main character can't even run dungeons, very well at all, the one with the Clever Alchemist gear, that is trying to one shot people in PVP. My second character is my dungeon running one and My third is my tank but is only level 40 atm.
I was typing in my guild chat for people to run Darkshade carvens and i got my other strenght of Automaton gear from runs on other days... just with the last pieces of clever alchemist coming.. I never try and mess around with dungeon finder. its muhc faster to post and zone and to ask guildies if they want to run pledges. If you have theives guild dlc they are having an event that doubles the yield from nodes. As a part of the event the DLC is also on sale. Might be worth it to check that out and get all you 160 mats back!0 -

Did you actually tell them you were finishing something and coming in just a minute? It's possible they'd been waiting in a queue for 40 or more mins too, naturally they wouldn't want to spend even more time waiting on someone who didn't even seem like he was interested in coming:| If you did tell them and they just started it(and bosses. If people lag behind I'll generally pull all the trash and kill bosses not needed for pledge(if it is pledge), but I'll stop and wait before the pledge ones) without a word, that's kind of rude. If you didn't, well, personally I'd ask where you were and what was up but it's possible they were just as, if not more, frustrated by the wait as you were(and also having a bad day).
Far as dungeons in general go, most of eso dungeons are really easy, you don't really need people to be op in their roles, just somewhat following roles at least(tank taunting, healer healing, dps doing some damage). I find the biggest thing is communication really - I'm totally fine with new people in a dungeon or someone having to afk prior/mid dungeon but for the love of the eight, tell the group about it. If you're afk-ing for undoubtedly important(no sarcasm intended) reasons, if you need people to wait on you because you're doing the dungeon quest, if you're absolutely unfamiliar with the mechanics - say it in groupchat. Personally, I'm totally chill waiting and I actually love explaining, but there's nothing more annoying than when I ask if everyone's run a dungeon before only to be met with silence and then mid dungeon, after fifth wipe, I find out it's their first ever dungeon run for someone and they haven't the foggiest about the mechanics. I think most people will be nice and patient if you in turn take the time to be nice and talk to them. There's the inevitable tradeoff of those who aren't quite so nice but those will likely try to kick you for lagging behind/dying anyway so might as well say it and know you tried at least
Anyways, sorry you had a bad day op. Hope it's improved/next one is better for you 0 -

✭✭I did end up loging in today.
My guild leader and the person she had craft my sword were appologetic and got me a new sword (only rare quality), and replaced the gain solvent I lost but didn't have enough tempers stored to replace those.
I did tell them I was in the middle of something, but they might of already started by that point.
I went back into Group finder waited the customary 40 min ran through a dungeon DC1 and not the pleadge i didn't do. Got 2x gear of the type I wanted in Divines. But.. not the ring I need to finish my build. A person in the group said:
"automatons ring" is this what you want?"
"yeah that was what I was after"
"were you the tank?"
"no"
" You don't get it then" *leaves*
Whille I was about to offer trades including my very nice Impen monster helm.
RNG was at least nicer to me today but people still suck.
Why would you taunt someone like that? I get you want tanks so the queue isn't so long, I would be working on leveling them up but I am stuck in the dungeon queue all day trying to get a ring so I can finsh my mains build.
I am still completely unable to get people form my guilds to run this particular dungeon. It was no problem for CoA1 to farm BSW for my MagDk (Who I use for my PVE needs)Edited by Narvuntien on March 10, 2017 2:58PM0 -

@Aletheion Actually, even if it is bound you can still trade with group members. If you run DC and get a ring, you can trade it with anyone in your group. You have 2 hours to share, but only with group members.
This is why I currently have 2 pieces of VO, and not zero xD0 -
