Master Angler Club

After 25 days straight of nothing but fishing I can finally join the ever growing club of master anglers! I even took a week off of work just to fish lmao.

I did the whole thing solo one fishing hole at a time 14,561 fish 92 perfect roe! My last fish was the sewer eel for foul fish is cyrodiil took 5 hours to get that little sucker but when I did I literally jumped up and down then went straight to buy my boat!

For you other master anglers in the forums how many fish did it take you and do you remember what ur last fish was and how long it took to get?

Took me about a month. Over 70 Perfect Roe and several thousand fish. My last one was in Cyrodiil and I was fishing with an AD friend south of Bloodmayne, and when I caught it I killed her because I was so happy. She's fine now.

Welcome to the club, it's one of the few remaining titles that requires lots of dedication and patience.

    Welcome to the club.

I used over 3,000 worms crawlers trying to catch a single Blue fish from Coldharbor.

Of course, you have to catch all the fish in Gold Coast, IC, and Wrothgar! Unfortunately, there was no thing as Perfect Roe when I earned my title :'( . It's been a while, but I think my last fish was a green lake in Rivenspire. I keep my bait stocked for the next batch of fish. Hope I get new fish to catch in Morrowind!

I'm not sure I did one week of fishing before that patch and the rest after the patch and I did not notice to much of a rare fish drop rate bc it was already bad and in the time after the patch I only got 3 kelps 5 coral and a crap load of blue and purple fish so maybe.

I hated getting those small house itemblue fishes bc I kept thinking I finally got the blue trophy fish and it was just another house item. Might be some merit to it bc I saw a post that it use to take about 9k fish to get the title and I was in the 14k range.

I'm still working on it but I hope to come back soon and say "finally and this.....was my last fish!" Have to say that so far the longest it's taken to get the last rare fish in one area was in Shadowfen, 3hrs to get a Coelcanth!
I'm sure that the RNG changes when it's the last fish you need!!

Stormhaven foul was the hardest for me I spent 2 days trying to get that blue fish and it was only my 2nd zone. Was very close to given up after that but I really wanted to do this so I pushed on. Keep at it and when you get stock on a fish that just seems to just not want to drop do what I did and tell urself with each cast it has to drop at some point. Also turning it into a drinking game helps a lot too XDDD

I have 3 master anglers, and my fourth has 16-17 fish to go. I'm planning one last one to get stats before and after housing.

My first and main guy has every fish in the game, the others just what's needed for the achievement (plus craglorn since it's so beautiful to fish)

My only stats are before housing. And this was my last guy so I had 2 previous anglers experience to help. The stats were 9899 fish and 99 perfect roe.

    Congrats!

I originally started in Craglorn and then it was only to get some perfect roe to make tri stat food. Then I noticed I was close to clearing the area I decided to keep at it. Done all the Dominion so far, bout half way thru Pact areas. I normally Pug Dungeons in between otherwise I'd go nuts!

Been playing basically since launch on Xbox. I've gotten pretty tired of the game in the last few months, and have been snapping netflix or baseball on the side - it definetly helps with fishing. I've only been logging on to fish and it's been a nice change of pace.

I was excited to get one of the first master angler , and I remember when some fish were bugged (I.e. not fished in the intended water type. Took me awhile to realise it. Only if perfect roe were introduced then!!

The last one I needed was the rift fish with 'foul water type' and at that time there was only 2 spots. Took awhile :).

Still working on it, I was actually excited for fishing on launch but as it was so broken I ended up moving away from it.

I only have the AD zones left to do now after doing it bit by bit over the years, I guess I should find a weekend and throw some movies on and fish again.

Anyone on PC EU who's done and has a large number of worms left please mail them to me!

Welcome to the club. I have two characters that have caught every trophy fish in the game. One was without the aid or add-ons for the original content. The 2nd I used add-ons and it went much quicker. Not sure how much bait it took me. I know my last fish on my first character took over 800 crawlers and three long nights. I'll have to go check the zone to see what it was.

For those who might just be starting a friend of mine wrote this guide.

    has some good info.

Definitely doing something else then watching a fishing pole helps. I know I watched a lot of twitch and people playing ESO.

Actually, you can get 2 at once in Imperial City. Got a green one from both IC and Cyrodiil, 1 bait, 2 fishiez.

And on a side note, got my master angler title after 9,100 fishiez, got all areas completed except IC, and my last one was in coldharbour. I fished all except one in there, didn't get the last one after like 500 baits wasted, fished everything else, went back, got it in less than 10 tries. Yay \o/
