Good morning,

I am looking for some discussion on the above builds? What sets do you use? Etc

I am told 20k dps per second is good. I can only hit about 10k with enemy above 50% health.

I am also told I'm too squishy.

I run 5 julianos, 5 burning spell weave.

I use reflective light, Scorching rune, blockade of fire, inner light, and RO. Second bar is for healing.

I am going to drop 5 set of julianos for Iceheart's shield to make up for the squishiness.

Any thoughts, corrections?

Are you a healer or a dps? if you are a dps then get rid of that healing backbar. If you are a healer then 10k dps is acceptable as long as you aren't letting anybody die. Also drop Scorching rune and get your jabs on, that should be your main dps spam ability.

PvE or PvP? DPS or DPS/Off-healer or Healer? Group or solo?
no matter what, Jabs should be slotted first of all. Other than that, it depends on what you want to do

There is a big difference between console DPS and PC. The only way to judge it on console is by the new test dummy. Meanwhile PC add-ons will give people DPS at any time. Someone can easily proclaim their 50k DPS without noting the full raid buffs and war horns that are helping them.

If you are a console player you're probably better off using the eye test in trials and PVP than worrying about your skeleton DPS.

burning spellweave 5x
moondancer or scathing mage 5x (julianos if you dont have swords sharpened of any of these sets so you can use 5/5/2 on main bar)
grothdar 2x

dual wield main bar: inner light, jabs, reflective light, radiant opression plus one flex spot (power of the light, harness magicka, rune focus)

sharp inferno back bar: inner light, blockade, spearshard, ritual of retribution plus one flex spot (rearming trap, rune focus, harness magicka)

Make sure all damage over time abilities are running the whole time, use jabs in between. at about 40% HP of the boss you only run blockade and reflective light to maintain spellweave buff and exevute with radiant while fire dots run. at about 2% spam your execute

If someone tells you that they do 50 k dps solo without any raid buffs single target, don't believe them they are telling you lies. It's impossible.

I'm on console. Is there a way for me to know if all of my dots are on? I'm not smart enough to know when they are deactivating.

And all dots being applied, does that include blazing spearshards? Or retribution, blockade, reflective light?

I may need to reroll. I pretty much despise jabs.

Wish we had an instant solar spell like sorcs have frags.

Why don't you like jabs? My main is a mag temp, and I would also suggest dropping the heal bar. You can slot breath of life on one bar and pretty much be able to heal yourself if you get in trouble. You can also look into using Channeled Focus and/or Extended Ritual to help with survivability.

I use destro fire staff on one bar and dual wield on my other. Mostly the dw bar is my main damage, staff is buffs and dots. You could try using Skoria helm/shoulders for some extra health and as long as you are keeping your dots up, it should proc nicely. If you have trouble knowing when your dots are up, I suggest trying to work out a rotation to re apply.

If you really don't want to use jabs, or if you want to be more ranged, look into the destro staff skills. There are some good options there (force shock, impulse, destructive touch and their morphs).

Edit: Are you using food/drinks? There are some that increase your health as well as boost mag/mag recovery.
