✭✭✭✭✭The only containers I leave stuff in are the boxes, crates, bags etc. which aren't shared and which usually only have 1 provisioning material in. I don't have ESO Plus so those would fill my inventory really fast and even if I did I don't know what I'd ever do with them all.

Yesterday I had a guild mate trying to do the "Hew's Bane Special Event". Totally quit trying after following not 1, but a group who would open nodes, etc, take goodies, and leave the crap behind. So much for getting double mats.
I am not a fan of "Naming and Shaming", but we should N&S these players in zone, ToS or not.
To any "Cherry-Pickers" who read this, "PLEASE STOP"!
You ruin farming for everyone else and are nothing more than a "Human Bot".

I have asked politely in zone that people loot the chests so that they reset, and have had players begin attempting to taunt/harass me over the fact that they refuse to loot the full chests. So yes, in most cases of not fully looted chests, it is being done to try and upset other players.0 -

✭Before the crafting bag, yes, I'd leave stuff I didn't want. Storage management is rather difficult when you're starting out a new character.
Since the crafting bag, I take every mat, even if I don't need them.
But I do get a chuckle when I approach a chest or runestone and only see a single item left behind. I take it, too.

Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.

Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.

@Bombashaman @wenchmore420b14_ESO @Pumpkin_pants @Avidspark this is a myth that people keep repeating, that the devs have told us isn't true (much like the myth about getting a better chance at getting a general at a dolmen if you don't close any pinions until the end, except more believable than that one). The respawn timer begins when the person who first opens the node/chest exits the looting menu. It doesn't make any difference if the node/chest is empty or not.HELL NOE!

You can test this yourself by finding one in an out of the way spot, partially looting it and waiting. After a time it will despawn and respawn.
The exact timing on the respawn of an individual node/chest won't always be the same because it depends on factors that can't be controlled in an experiment like this (things like zone population, how many nodes are currently spawned in the zone), but it should be roughly the same amount of time until the respawn compared to taking everything.
@phileunderx2 in this situation you can always mail one treasure map to someone. On PC there are addons that will automatically return mails with things like RTS in the subject line to make bouncing mail off friends and guildies easier.
