Video games always made terrible movies..no idea why.. the story should stay in the game...as EA have stated over and over and over on their start up screen:

Daishichi✭✭✭Yes!!!Might as well, right? If phone apps now get movies, they should find something worth investing in a decades-old franchise with millions of worldwide fans. $200MM in CGI = $500MM in ticket sales and millions more ESO players keeping the game active and working for years.

✭NahNope. Fastest way to destroy a brand is hand it over to Hollywood. The idiots out there will hand it to a script writer who has never played the game (or worse, play it for an hour or two), then pen the most atrocious material based on the game.
There isn't a single movie made which represents the game or its lore correctly.

IF its mostly about it being a fantasy movie, and has a decent budget - good actors, non-crappy effects, the whole 'different' races dont even matter (what divided the chimer and dunmer were cultural differences, they looked nearly the same as far as I can tell from the game)
Theres a very short list of video game movies I find good/ok (but that critics generally do not);
Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, the 1st Resident Evil and 1st Hitman, ;; the Landfall shorts for Halo were also impressive
So the movie would have to be first and foremost a good movie (script, story, acting)before it being about having ties to the elder's scrolls
The Assassin's Creed movie was extremely terrible. Like how on earth can you barely do 2 sessions in Animus and be a pro Assassin like that? Or how can you understand the ideology and the battle between Templars and Assassin's that quickly? Okay. Put that stuff aside. The ending was really cheesy, to the point where it ruined the whole movie for me. *** in oversized hoodies running around with bows and hidden blades killing people instead of just using a gun and a clown mask?
