It is annoying to say the least... I feel sorry for new players in the starter zones who would be confused and overwhelmed by all the bot spamming at Anchors.
It's a shame.. I remember when i first came across Dolmens and there were 2 or 3 other players.. It was chaotic but really fun to run the dolmen and complete it..

If it were an illegal program running the bots, then yes they could and would. I blame this solely on ZOS because all they have to do is remove the "safe zones" that allow them to afk farm. The other "bot" most see are sorcs (usually low level ones) using pets and destro hvy attacking everything in an area while one of them picks up all the loot. This is usually someone with multiple consoles or pc accounts with multiple rubberbands. These bots are actually getting booted, albeit they just make new phony accounts and rinse repeat.

it has actually been stated that rubber banding your controller is against TOS and action could be taken on your account
Quote from Jessica
"Recently, some of you have asked if it’s okay to put tape or a rubber band on your controller. The short answer is “No.” Automating your character in any way, including placing tape or a rubber-band on a console controller, is considered a violation of our Terms of Service, and action may be taken on your account. You must be actively controlling your character."

You have extra DPS on the boss, so the boss dies faster, so that's a wash. You still get the same loot no matter how many people/bots are there. SO, why do you even care?

Boss loot only goes to the top 12 damage/healing dealers. The bots are not even interested in the loot. Hopefully, some bot is not stealing loot from a player by doing too much damage.
It is against the ToS, and that is really all the reason anyone needs.

And if you as a person can't out DPS a bot doing heavy attacks, you do not deserve any loot. So, as long as there is a person pressing the mouse button than it's NOT against the ToS and that is really all the reason anyone needs.

If they keep doing it multiple times they could be considered to be flagged as a bot, especially if they do it in the same exact location everytime like most bots do.
You might want to re-read the TOS.UppGRAYxDD wrote: »Technically they are not "bots", just ppl rubber-banding their controllers and for this reason ZOS cannot ban them.

True. And your point is?

My point is it is impossible for a player to tell the difference between this, and someone using a rubberband.
You don't know, so leave people alone.
