First time starting PVP as a healer.......

Anyone advanced in the PVP scene that can give me a few pointers on healing and what to look out for......

I DO NOT WANT TO BE A VAMPIRE.

I am a Templar breton healer in PVE.

Whats it mean to be a good competitive healer in PVP? How do I not get ganked as a healer? What armor sets shouldI look for as a healer in PVP?

Thank you for the help cause I really want to try and give PVP an honest try......

It's a start and then you can change your build as needed, and preferred.

Any decent group will focus healers so you want to go with heavy armor, and probably SnB/resto. You should also go vamp for the undeath passive, even if you don't want to. Tri-pots or immovable pots.

Definitely heavy sword and board front bar and then get friends who can deal the damage and go to town.

It's not much different than PvE in that you are still supporting the raid. That means running a 5-piece support set, if possible, and using support ultimates.

Avoiding the gank is the same as any other class in Cyrodiil. Stay with the raid, when possible. If you get separated, sneak. Going solo also means getting to the next point quickly without being sidetracked.

Personally, I don't like running vamp due to the weakness to fire ... but that varies widely from healer to healer. There is another vamp healer in our raid by the way.

5 heavy/2 light of small scale for sure. In 24 man groups you can get away with light armor. Hasty ritual is unbelievable for raid healing when taking keeps. Transmutation is so easy to apply for templars, i love that set.

Do your really plan on being pure heals? Julianos/soulshine makes you hit me a truck and heal like a god using hasty ritual. It's much more fun to play than pure healer. Imo.
