If they try to play the game as the plot of the movie, then no. Besides, no one wants to see a Grind Montage.....Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

The movie should be about events that hasn't been in any TES game or else people will get mad that the hero isn't the race they played as.

✭✭✭Depends.........ES has a lot of potential for movies. There's more than enough lore, characters, settings, plot lines, etc. to make several great ones.
The problem is that movie producers in general do a real crappy job of making the transition from video game to the big screen. Either they try to squeeze way too much into 90 minutes, resulting in a convoluted, disjointed mess, or they take way too much liberty with creative license and change so many things in ways that are completely lore breaking that the title is the only thing the two have in common. That's if they actually bothered to look at the source material before hand and they don't just half-ass the thing with a low budget script and no-name actors creating a movie that at best goes straight into the DVD bargain bin."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster...when you gaze long into the abyss the abyss also gazes into you..."0 -

i.e. some fantasy drama about the chimer/dwemer war that lead to their dissapearance
or Alessia and the amulet of kings etc... or some weirdo cyberpunk-ish sci-fi movie about Kinmune (mwahaha)
IF its mostly about it being a fantasy movie, and has a decent budget - good actors, non-crappy effects, the whole 'different' races dont even matter (what divided the chimer and dunmer were cultural differences, they looked nearly the same as far as I can tell from the game)
Theres a very short list of video game movies I find good/ok (but that critics generally do not);
Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, the 1st Resident Evil and 1st Hitman, ;; the Landfall shorts for Halo were also impressive
So the movie would have to be first and foremost a good movie (script, story, acting)before it being about having ties to the elder's scrolls1 -

Having a fun and enjoyable gameplay experience is their best promotion of the game, not the fluff.2 -

✭✭✭Yes!!!Hmm, definitely don't go the Warcraft type of direction. Warcraft movie was a total failure both with their tacky, cheap CGI and lack of story and good dialogue. But i wouldn't mind a Live-Action short film around an hour long. Sort of like they did with the previous Cinematics we saw when the game first came out. But of course, a lot longer ones.
As someone who works for a company who uses the same studio that Zenimax uses for their Cinematics (Blur Studio in Los Angeles), know that Blur Studio charge A LOT for their trailers! They aren't cheap.
