Motif Costumes

Hey! Here's another idea for like 6 people to comment on before it disappears into the abyss.

ADD MOTIF COSTUMES

Basically, add some sort of mechanic to where if you learn all of a certain book motif, you unlock a costume of LA/MA/HA in that style. That way, you can actually sport your favorite styles head to toe. Too many optimal builds call for monster sets, which means we can't sport our favorite looking helms without losing some performance. This would also increase value of book motifs.

That's actually a really damned good idea. I'd want it craftable for all 7 slots, as I always mix and match. Ask the several people I made such sets for for free in-game just today. One is so awesome looking I want it now :(

Pretty much solves the whole problem of the underlying motifs always being hidden and/or not being what you want to look at. I think all 12 of my characters are currently wearing costumes.

Me too. I really want to sport the Order of the Hour helm on some characters, but it's just not feasible cause no one wears crafted HA helms. WANT TO BE A SPARTAN.

Only if they would put them in their own category, or else it would be impossible to find anything in my costumes section.

I'd be nice, so why not.

Also note: the main reason that I'm comenting is because there can only be four others now >:)

With the ability to transmute everything but set pieces to Imperial and the coming Morag Tong Transmute with Morrowind I'd like to see that apply to all motifs and all set pieces that way we truly can look the way we want. As long as we know and can craft said motif it should be a thing.

Yeah, good call, as long as we have a motif mat that should be the cost to transmute, with no limit on the number of times we can transmute a given item... Unless we run out of the base mat.

I think that would be cool. Same token though, I think being able to put on a costume while on my non-crafting characters would save me a lot of time compared to the transmog system. Both viable, though.

Maybe I should have put, *NERF* or *BALANCE* or *WHAAA WHAAA* in the title.

Yep. Costume crafting is by far the best way to make the crafting grind feel worth it, without unbalancing anything.

Yeah that would be neat if players can make BoE costumes but consist of all 14 pages of each motif in one, so you get the weapon costumes as well.

IE: You need to have learned the full motif to make the full costume collection set

I would love to see more costume or appearance options. I came from eq2 where there was alot of appearance options and a new wardrobe system to die for. I love picking out specific looks for my character, who doesn't!

    Yes, please.
even if they lock the costume to the character that has the complete motif collection.
I know I'd be spending plenty in the crown shop to get the full collection, and on all 11 characters.
The majority of players would like this, it will generate some coin for ZOS and will make motifs viable again.
