Blade of Woe in PvP

I've totally felt like Blade of Woe should be allowed in PvP for a long time. Can't really see why it shouldn't be allowed. Perhaps make it allowed in PvP for the Dark Brotherhood anniversary event, just to test it. Of course it should only work on players who aren't hidden and you've got to be hidden. Would be great for handling people on siege weapons. I'd totes love to see it. The Sithis' Touch is pretty much useless but would be useful if Blade of Woe assassinations were allowed in PvP.

I think it would be awesome to have in PvP. But I'm not super into PvP so I can see why a lot of the true PvPers would consider this unbalanced.

Just be more alert, or use detection. Problem solved. Everyone here saying no without giving reasons. It'd be easy to counter if you make it so.

LOL just be alert or use detection he says. Stealth is already imbalanced and you want to add a guaranteed 1hit to it?

So basically you either slot magelight or use detection pots on cooldown in pvp or GGWP.

    no thanks

Countering isn't the issue. It's that it would open up a one-shot option to any build at all with no cost or drawbacks, with the possible exception of having to run medium and/or vampire for better stealth. That's simply unbalanced. Currently it's possible to build for extremely high damage ganking only if you give up the possibility of other playstyles. That's as it should be. Your idea is all get and no give.

You couldn't just go around doing it to armies in a fight thought because you'd get destroyed by everyone else that sees you do it, then they could rez their fallen team mate. You'd definitely be careful when you use it. I definitely would. Id go and hunt the strays running around and if you get bitten, then its your own fault.

I'm really, really glad you're not in charge of any design decisions at ZOS. This is a horrible idea to introduce literal 1 hit kills and if you can't see why, you never will. Say it over again. 1 hit kill. 1 hit kill. This is a bad thing.

guaranteed 1 hit kill with no counterplay is the only reason you need.

The playstyle you want already exists but you have to build for it, you are asking to have the ability to 1 hit gank on any build.

sorry that you can't 1hit my heavy armor impen dk.

I don't PvP in any way. At all.

Even this PvE carebear knows that allowing 1-hit-kills (with no counter) on other players is a horribly bad idea.

If they did allow it, the world would lose many coastal communities due to the flood of enraged tears...

It's just a bad, bad idea.

Before I say anything let me just put this upfront. I am new to MMO's, very new to PVP, but very experienced with the Elder Scrolls world.

Some of my opinion is drawn from reading between the lines of all of the no's and the rest is drawn from looking at it from both sides.

Do I think it would be fun to do? Absolutely!
Do I think it would become quickly overused to the point of becoming annoying if it was used on me? I cannot reasonably say anything but yes to that.

If I take a look and weigh out the possibilities of getting to use it verses finding myself randomly dead because a hundred trolls have found a great spot to assassinate from, I have to say no as well.

Maybe with the size of Cyrodiil it might not get that bad but inside of the Imperial City could become atrocious.

Because current one-shot builds have to give up there own survivability in order to achieve true one/two shot capability. What you are suggesting is to add a one-shot option for everybody including well-balanced or tank characters. This would also tremendously favor NB's as they could spec heavily into survivability and still get away using stealth making them by far the best class for doing this.

Being one-shot is no fun already, I do not want to increase the one-shots. I prefer at least a second or two to react. Hopefully that explains it.
