Templar builds?

Greetings adventurers!

I am seeking a Templar leveling/healing build.

I was working off Delita's "Battery" build, but it appears slightly outdated... There are a few skills it mentions that either no longer exist, or have been updated and changed.

Anyone have a decent guide, or even just some suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes...

PvE. No interest in PvP at this time. Mostly running dungeons or playing with my friend running sorc.

PvE Magplar healer that can comfortably handle normal solo content? I've got one of those and find it a glorious playstyle.

Race: Most folks would recommend Altmer/Breton/Argonian but I use a Bosmer for roleplay reasons and she does fine.
    Attributes: All points into magicka.
Gear: 7light or 6light/1heavy or 5 light/1heavy/1medium. Use sets (and enchants) that support magicka. I trait my big pieces with infused and small pieces with divines. I use mage for standing stone.
Weapons: Destro staff and Resto staff.
Skills: Develop most Templar, Destr and Resto skills and sort out what works for you - there are way more than 10 superb skills there for a healer.

Here are some of the skills I find really useful. Focused on healing/support but pack enough punch to help with dps and survive solo:
My current front bar (Sharpened lightning staff): Elemental Drain, Blazing Spear, Reflective Light, Purify, Sweeps.
My current back bar (Powered resto staff): Mutagen, Extended Ritual, Breath of Life, Healing Springs, Radiant Glory.
Fully developed and able to be swapped in if/when needed: Siphon Spirit, Repentance, Wall of Elements. Working on Mystic Orbs.

This all works out to be a pretty solid build for normal content. Certainly enough to get you going till you refine your own path.

PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo

Siphon spirit is a dead ability, swap out reflective light for repentance, it's one of the best healing skills in the game, Also if you wanna go full support, swap out radiant for necrotic orbs, really amazing skill, both morphs are extremely good.

I think I agree on Sipon Spirit. Though I fully developed it, I've been disappointed (cast time, aggros foes, no debuff).

I have the greatest respect for Repentance but normally don't slot it because I find I can better focus on healing/support from beyond Repentance's 12m range so it usually ended up healing allies after the fight. Lol. If I get inside 12m, I find myself getting pulled into dps as my char gets attacked and has to switch to sweeps to defend herself - then she too easily misses when an ally's hp bar is getting dangerously low. Even if it pushed the heal out 12m from the corpse that would be okay; but to have it based off her location is just too close range. The other challenge I had with Repent was some of our biggest challenges to keep allies alive have been outdoor world bosses and too often there are no corpses to pop. Thanks for the endorsement though; helps me remain glad I morphed to Repent vs Radiant Aura.

I'm still leveling Undaunted and look forward to trying out Orbs and its morphs. I wonder if the short range will cause me concerns.

As you can surmise, I don't do elite formal dungeon grouping. Agree on swapping out Reflective Light and maybe Radiant Glory for more supportive skills when going more pure healer with a tank and a couple dedicated dps. That has been kind of my thinking in developing well over 10 skills - so I could have them to swap in for differing situations.

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm still very much learning and voraciously try to read and digest everything I can about healing templars. :)

But a healer doesn't just heal, it's a support class, which means you can either decide to go full heal, or you can decide a different approach, like giving more resources to your group, and boosting your group dps, which is what mystic orbs do.

Afaik, in super-organised groups: Tanks use magicka orb, healer uses energy orbs. Reflective light is nice to use, as it gives the minor sorcery(Dawn's Wrath Passive, if you don't use beam from full HP). I rather use beam, though. Or any other Dawn's Wrath skill. But be sure to use one!

If you don't want to run Spell Power Pots or if you don't run with a DK, slot Entropy for major sorcery as well. It affects your heals. Use Channeled FOcus, as it's your resistance buffs + your main sustain.

In a trial group you will have a mag templar dps, better leave the minor sorcery buff to him.
But if you're in a dungeon group it's pretty good to have it, but i don't think it outperforms repentance.

Siphon spirit is a dead ability, swap out reflective light for repentance, it's one of the best healing skills in the game, Also if you wanna go full support, swap out radiant for necrotic orbs, really amazing skill, both morphs are extremely good.

energy orbs way better... tremendous healing, you're a healer after all

But a healer doesn't just heal, it's a support class, which means you can either decide to go full heal, or you can decide a different approach, like giving more resources to your group, and boosting your group dps, which is what mystic orbs do.

True, but sure he's not dps'ing.. like stated mystic orbs (if used are thrown in the group by the tank or off-tank).
But by all means, you play like you want, this is just a point of view from end-game raiding

One of the problems with templar, is that there are so many good healing abilityes that it becomes hard to decide.
