If you were to choose one of the 4 Sorcerer Pets (2 Pets = 4 Morphs), which would you choose?

I'm planning on choosing one of the 4 sorcerer pets to use (at least while leveling to level 50, and maybe later too) and wanted to know your opinion. What pet would you choose?
  1. Clannfear?
  2. Familiar?
  3. Twilight Tormentor?
  4. Twilight Matriarch?
Which one would you choose to follow you into combat as a Magicka Sorcerer DPS?
Could be 2 of them too, one for PvP and one for PvE...
Sorry for the english :|

Clanfear is solid tank and burst healer. Holds aggro well.

Scampi familiar is good dps aoe plusvstun. But right now scampi does not hold aggro well so...

    Twilight mat is strong healer.

So if you want/need a tanking effect choose clanfear.

If you can do without that and have other heals, choose scampi.

I'm personally partial to the Volaitle Familiar. It has mad AoE DPS, almost as good as Liquid Lightning.

The Volatile Familiar's pulses actually deal more damage than Liquid Lightning, especially with Daedric Prey, at which point no other aoe can compare.

Clannfear. "Why?" you ask. "Why not" I say.

Solo leveling depends on what content you're doing. The Clannfear can be wrecked by some of the mage bosses in the game. If you do choose it, make sure Friendly NPC Healthbars are set to "Injured" under nameplate settings, since there's no healthbar for pets currently (Unlike in FFXIV.)

If using one pet I want the clannfear tank. If using an additional pet, I want the twilight healer.

I don't think any pet equals a Clannfear, mine is a great tank and with the heal ability it has saved me many times:-) I defeated Molag Bal thanks to my tank Clannfear (Mischief). I had to summon him several times but I didn't come close to dying once :-) The Clannfear will have your back at all times even if just farming for mats :-)

    Clanfear always.

The Twilight just annoys me and everyone around me. Plus, my Surge can heal better than she can.

For DPS, Familiar is far and away the best choice. The Twilight Matriarch is a very solid heal, but nowhere near the DPS.

In the new meta, the Familiar is VERY strong for DPS. The problem with pets is they simply arent viable on certain fights. They dont follow one shot mechancis and some fights they basically just fall over. Haha. If you are fine micromanaging your bars mid trial, then they are absolutely worth using. If not, then dont get too attached to a pet.

Edit: originally said Clanfear and meant Volatile familiar. Case of the Mondays.
