Error 200 Work Around

I was unable to get logged in tonight after work, kept getting ERROR 200. Found this work around and got right in. Hope it helps!
Go to Zenimax Online File in your Program files. Open Launcher File. Rename ProgramData to ProgramDataBackup.
Then go to your ESO Launcher, let it update. Close launcher, reopen and should let you in.

I have just been playing for last 3 hours with no problems.

Not sure about Mac - rarely use Mac, but resorted to try with this issue - no equivalent ProgData I could find.
Only way to login on Mac is pure spam - load launcher, start client, fail announcements loading, try to login and fail - but click login over and over....eventually after a few to many, many attempts, will get in.
But after <1 min to 15 min usually, bumped off again.0 -

this is how i got on using a PC. I didn't nor rarely do i use the launcher, only for updates. I use the eso64.exe. havent gotten booted yet and havent logged out either.Doesn't work on my PC.

Yep, worked for me. Surprising that something so simple worked. I had hope when the announcements popped up on the login screen and I was able to get a character logged in and everything.

I tried your work around but it failed to fix the Error 200. After "fiddling" around for several hours with no luck I decided to run Norton. After running the Norton scan, I was able to log in and everything work as it should.0

larimarub17_ESOSoul ShrivenProblem is back after todays patch .... I tried the ProgramDataBackup change and I got to the character select screen but it fails during character load ... everything was fine yesterday then today the patch loads and BAM dead in the water. My error is ERROR 200 (7:4:178:597) .... earlier I got Error 108 (7:5:315:0) but the change to Program Data to rename it ProgramBackupData seemed to get me past that one ...0 -
