@ZOS_GinaBruno It happened AGAIN. I was in the middle of a dungeon when I crashed, not even 15 minutes online. When I tried to log back on, I got Error 200 AGAIN. This is after I repaired my client, restarted my router, AND restarted my computer. I pay $15 a month, have spent $100s on the Crown store, and yet I cannot play the game I PAY A MONTHLY PREMIUIM SUBSCRIPTION FOR. By this point, I'm expecting some recompense for not being able to play a game I've spent so much bloody money on.

When you purchased ESO+ did it say that you were paying to access the servers? When you spent "$100s on the Crown store" did it say that you were paying to access the servers? When you purchased the game did it say that you were paying to access the servers?

If the answer isn't yes to any of the above, then quit complaining. Yes, it's *** that it's been down an entire day pretty much, but you aren't entitled to *anything*, paying or not.

    I'm right there with you.

And right before I logged off I was getting cross character party chat... group chat from the previously logged in character.

More so that Zenimax should have more than enough money to improve the servers.

I think it is implied that when you pay for a service you are entitled to receive said service.

You pay your electricity bill because they provide you with electricity.
You pay your internet bill because they provide you with internet.
You pay your water bill because they provide you with water.
You pay your cell phone bill because they provide you cell service.

Likewise I would imagine if you pay ZOS for ESO+ then they should provide you with access to the ESO service.

I cannot speak to the free to play aspect but as a paying customer I can understand the concerns of the OP. To that end you can look at the ESO+ page and it says:

"Become an ESO Plus™ member to gain access to all DLC game packs available in the Crown Store"

Well when the service is unavailable we cannot access the DLC game packs, but we continue to pay for it. I am not angry that it is down or anything, but simply trying to make you understand why some paying customers would have issues with poor servers and communication. (aka the Service)

arguing with people like phantom is pointless. If were any other business besides the gaming industry this wouldn't stand. Almost every service provider i know of from cell phones to power to gas will reimburse time lost if it is not from some natural disaster or something totally out of their control.

But when the servers are down due their infrastructure or coding then that is on them. I will say the lack of communication from ZOS regarding these often down times is pretty awful. A quick summary of X part failed and replaced it or something would suffice.

Umm yes it did. The game is only playable online... So YES, you are paying to access the servers. That's where your data is saved.
