just ran a tracert/pathping to servers and looks like its timing out in Kansas (12.123.250.117). Could be the reason why some people are getting in while others aren't.

Still getting Error 200 for NA server. No problem getting on EU server.

Was just trying to login getting error 200, read through all the ZOS posts stating servers were up, still getting 200. Took about 8 tries before it allowed me to log in.

OK here is what I have tried so far:

Switched to EU server, logged in, loaded a character, logged out, and then tried NA server - still saying "Could not load announcements" and login error 200

Reset and flushed dns and rebooted multiple times now - still saying "Could not load announcements" and login error 200

Tried both 64 bit and 32 bit versions, each from the launcher and each from the .exe - still saying "Could not load announcements" and login error 200

It has now been long enough since the server went back up to be past the "too many people trying to log in at once" issue - in fact I am seeing friends on steam log on and log off from the game as if nothing is wrong (because for them there is nothing wrong).

However, I still do not have any connection to the server.

Zenimax, please fix - I have been paying sub faithfully since early early access, have spent loads on crowns, and have a guild to run. It's Saturday night. PLEASE do something so I can get back in game, this is beyond a joke now.

I'm still intermittently getting the "announcements cannot be loaded" and Error 200 when I log out for a few and return -- it's been troubling for several hours here... closing the launcher and starting from that point over sometimes allows the announcements to come up and log back in.

Dang. I tried a dozen times without luck. Ended up back on EU server. Maybe I'll try again later, but damn ZOS.

I had the announcements could not be recieved message when I opened my game up. I tried to log in twice then came to read through this thread where i last left off. Failed to log in again, then waited about 6-8 minutes before checking back to see the NA announcements were back up. So far, it's let me log into the game but I don't know about the performance it'll have.

I can say yesterday in dungeons performance dipped to 3 FPS when i normally get 60-85FPS as soon as skills began firing off.

^This is exactly my situation too. Well, other than having a guild to run. But I do have a guild trials event that I'm supposed to be participating in today...

I was able to get back in to play, and then I got a infinite load screen outside of Cyrodiil. Now I cannot get back in.

ZOS's solution to fixing the server load: only let some people back on. Genius.

The reality seems to be: ZOS sold the game without having any compatible structure or ability to meet those who bought the game, to those who sign the game. That simple! It is the idea of maximizing profits versus service quality.

UGH!

Accidentally went out to the log in screen when switching characters and now back to the no connection!!!!!!!!!

I guess we all need to start new toons on EU and flood that server.

After the same stuff (Error 200) for quite some time, I just got on no probs and played about half an hour with fine performance. I did nothing in terms of trying to 'fix' things on my end. PC NA no Steam. Working okay when I logged off but we'll see when I try to log back on.
