I wanted to make a zoo, but can't because they put the limit at 10. If I spend the money on a manor I should be able to make whatever I want.
I am not sure what they have planned, but I do know they said this would not be all that there is to housing. Now they very well may change their minds like they have in the past. But I sure hope not. I would greatly like to see a good size housing update, with or before the morrowind update.

It not only controls the conversation and fuels speculation (think how successful Apple was with not discussing iphone models, fee advertising) but it also prevents providing information on aspects that change.

I'm sure there will be plenty of updates to the housing system as they've already indicated the present setup is only the start. That doesn't mean that if it isn't updated by 4pm on Thursday next that they lied and aren't going to do anything at all with it. Morrowind is clearly a significant undertaking and I wouldn't personally expect any major enhancements to the housing system prior to that. Sometimes it pays to have a little patience.

If you are talking about Zos releasing information about Morrowind already then I would refer you back to the several months before Housing was released to find multiple mentions of housing by Zos.
Regardless, you prove my point exactly, Zos is controling the message about Morrowind and releasing that iformation when they are ready.
Further, and more importantly to the subject of the OP, we already know there will be updates to housing in Morrowind. Zos has already released high level information on that.
and Finally, Zos will never add everything into housing, or the game, that is mentioned in these forums. Some ideas they will. Some ideas are down right good ideas while others are not worth the time to make them happen. It is life and if one can hold a pessimistic view that since Zos has not mentioned what they want to hear changes are a dead issue if they want to hold that view.
ZOS is dead slience on it and trying hard to move everyone's attention on Morrowind. Not trying to be bitter but the only possible update will be storage with 1 slot for each container furniture (and of course you won't be able to store craft mats).
No NPC in the house. No better assistants in house, no other toons in it, no animation for mounts and pets and other new functions in the near future.
I sincerely hope ZOS can slap me in the face, but for now I suggest everyone Carry my Prediction in mind when buying new houses
One thing I would love would be interaction, simply picking up an glass of wine and do the drink animation.Giles.floydub17_ESO wrote: »Giles.floydub17_ESO wrote: »Zos tends to not repeat themselves (many thread on housing have been answered by Zos already) nor say anything they are not ready to say so speculation is just that and nothing more. The only mentiom of housing in Morrowind is that there will be more houses…and that's it. So now we look back to homestead announcement, what they said about “this is only the beginning” actually means “more houses”. They didn't Say anything about function update.
Don't get me wrong, I really hope ZOS is bringing more functions, but homestead is more likely just another quarter products and ZOS wasted the potential of it (like Pledge of Mara, thieves guild and dark brotherhood, housing has so much potential but ZOS decided to make them a quarter plan )

and housing was the focus of homestead. It is clear they will not say tons about housing for Morrowind since housing is not the focus.
I also guarantee housing will get additions other than the two new homes. Absolutely guarantee and have a general idea of some things to expect. New furnishings. A new achievement furnishings vendor. Maybe even new plans for crafting more items. Hopefully in there is a new large dwemer statue.
Although will they make changes with the Morrowind expansion like adding storage, no. Allowing the sharing as true co-owners or some change permitting the appearance of co-owners, prob never.

While I agree with in general I'll just add this: how's having a little patience working out for you (and me) regarding the parlous state of trade access in this game?
All The Best
I truly think people should get mass storage out of their heads with homes. It's not a single player game, balance has to be considered and giving unlimited storage or high amounts isn't something they are going to do. Making banks and guild banks and crafting bags less relevant and less reason to increase isn't something they should or probably will do either.
If you expect housing to solve all your storage needs, you'll be salty every time. I'd at most expect some sort of weapon rack and mannequin that you can either buy in crown store or get gold recipe for that you can put a limited number of in certain size homes that will allow you to store some extra equipment sets on. Don't expect to see the ability to run in and dump all your gear into one chest like you can in Skyrim or Fallout.
