Give us the ability to leave a campaign when it ends or turn off the campaign notifications

I didn't know what Cyrodiil would be like, so I joined a campaign. If I had known that I would be completely unable to leave unless I paid an extortionate price of 100K gold, I would never in a million years have joined in the first place. I hate PvP. I was going there to try to get vigor and caltrops and the skyshards but I find it completely intolerable. I wouldn't have minded so much and just left it as is but there is no way at all to turn off the notifications that hit the middle of the screen, usually at the worst possible time, distracting me from a boss at a critical moment.

I waited until my home campaign ended today and tried to leave but it wouldn't let me. I had to pay out the 100K gold that I've managed to save after a whole two months' playing just to get rid of these notifications. It is really not fair to do this to people. Either give us the ability to leave a campaign when it is over, or let us turn off notifications. As it is I don't think I'll ever set foot in Cyrodiil again, I hate PvP and those notifications are more than annoying, they've gotten me almost killed by interrupting fights. PLEASE give us one of those two options.

This is for PS4, but no doubt players on other platforms feel the same way.

Agreed, I can't change or leave my campaign unless I spend 100,000 alliance points? Who the hell came up with that?

I would like my 100K gold back. It's not like I'm abusing the system, I cannot stress how much I hate PvP and don't want to participate in it. Is that even a possibility or have I just been ripped off the results of two months grinding?

Download this add-on

It will make all your useless PvP and PvE notifications disappear. No more "X player completed Y trial with a score of Z" notifications every 30 seconds or "X alliance dropped the scroll" every 2 minutes. I don't know why ZOS thought we'd ever want to know this information, especially in giant size 200 font that obstructs our entire screen. The PvP stuff might be useful while inside Cyrodil, but it certainly isn't useful while I am PvEing. And the PvE notifications are never useful.

Addons don't work for console, which is easily 2/3rds of the player base. It says bad things about a game when you need third party Addons to handle basic issues that should he solved by the developers.

The 100k alliance point / gold cost to abandon a campaign needs to be removed. All players should have the option to abandon their campaign once per quarter, at least. The 100k cost can come into play if you try to change more than once in that time frame.

I've been stuck in azuras star for pretty much 2 years now, I hardy ever pvp so I've only got maybe 10k alliance points, and at this point I think I deserve a free campaign change.

You can do this without an addon. Settings > Social > Leaderboard notifications to off. I was under the impression you could do it for PVP too, but I cannot find it (unless it's the same option), but frankly I've been using add-ons for too long to be sure.

That said, OP's platform is PS4.

unfortunately - as far as I know there is no way to turn off the alliance war notifications for ps4...

Wait. Gold? Since when? Last time I changed a campaign, it asked for AP.

Now, if you have no intention of PvPing regularly and don't care about PvP leaderboards, set only a "guest" campaign. That you can change for free every 3 days and you don't get notifications.

Supported a hundred times over.

I haven't signed my alts up to campaigns just so I can avoid getting notification spam. I understand I can get add-ons for PC for it but still...

This is good information. I wish I'd known it before I lost my game life savings. If I ever decide to try for those skyshards in Cyrodiil again I'll keep this in mind but I feel burnt right now and don't want to repeat the experience.

They really should tell you before you sign up for a campaign that there is no possibility of leaving without paying through the nose. While I don't want to think it's intentional, it feels like it was. Surely I'm not the first person to complain about this.
