Problems with minor magickasteal

With the introduction of the new buff, minor magickasteal, every single class except mag templar took a hit on the sustain aspect. Since this buff doesn't stack, and can only be procced once per second, can we please have another component to elemental drain to make it more relevant again? If you have a templar in a group you can run radiant aura, making elemental drain almost useless, As well as siphon spirit, which has become a dead ability. My suggestion is this: bring back elemental drain Magicka return on elemental hits, only reduced, this would mean that it still provides minor magickasteal, and in addition it provides like 200 magicka each time you hit with an elemental ability. This would not further buff templar sustain, while bringing the others on par, especially mag dragonknight, which took the biggest hit of all.
And it would be cool to have siphon spirit change reverted.

Ele drain is still a must if tank is running Ransack instead of Pierce Armor.

Actually, I don't have problem with Elemental Drain. My problem is Elemental Drain along with Siphon Spirit. These two were once separated effects which was great. One healer keeping Ele Drain while second healer keeping Siphon Spirit and both effects were stacking. Now they are not and this is what I consider a true hit on the sustain aspect.

My suggestion, let Elemental Drain as it is and change Siphon Spirit back to give 1% magicka on return. But keep the minor lifesteal on it.

That's exactly the problem i have with it too, so i made a suggestion on how to bring back these abilities without making them op.
Well actually only elemental drain, siphon spirit changes should just be reverted.

Elemental vulnerability should add a X% increased chance of burning/chilled/concussed chance proc on target as the base morph. The drain morph is still useful when playing without radiant aura templar, and it will increase the skill utility.

Force siphon's cast time should be removed, it should give siphon spirit a tiny but existent niche. Why not adding minor staminasteal for the quick siphon morph ?

Magika night blades that still use funnel health like me are happy since elemental drain actually does something for us now.

They said they wanted to tone down magicka regen in order to force people to lose damage for sustain (and lower the damage ceiling). So... Nope, won't happen.

Trouble is extremely well organised groups notice no difference and therefore lose no damage and can still sustain, but now the other 99% of players have sustain issues lowering their dps, so all zos has acheived is widening the gap between high sustained dps and low sustained dps

Very true. It pretty much only hurts the majority of players instead of helping.

magicka steal is 400 magicka every second but you regen every 2 seconds so technically it is 800 regen ontop of your base 900 so by average you should be at ~1700 regen if you are a vamp, remember this is your base, with a potion you should go up to around ~2000 regen.
Ontop of mystic and energy orbs being thrown out, I'm finding it hard to believe to any class "took a hit"

In the same patch where they give staves a flat 8% damage buff. Attacking sustain is my least favourite way to combat power creep, I would just rather not have the power creep.

Idk...my sustain is much better this patch on all classes...sounds like your healers ahould be using orbs a lot more actively.

No, not the other 99% it's not just the top groups that know how to throw an orb lol.

Yes with all those being as is it's enough. But it has went down from last patch, as you would get that 400+ per second already from force siphon and this could be stacked with else drain. So it went down.

But that was overkill and with ele drain orbs it's all good.

The buff change has proven just fine as it is. In Trial raids on characters using force pulls and such it has been just fine coupled with orbs. No one I raid with (mostly all magika DD) has had a complaint. When the update first dropped we took a look at it and found it to be good.
