HOW DO YOU KILL ARTORIUS?

How the hell do you kill Primate Artorius? He just timestops me and I die a second later.

I've looked it up and it's like they're fighting some other Artorius. Interrupt him? Can't. Move before it comes? It's instant. Tank it? What are you cp 500? Break the cc? Can't.

3 new classes. 3 new spellcasters. Zenimax has forgotten how to make melee classes.

You mean for the Dbh? I did that when I was like Cp 180, didn't think he was that hard, save stamina and break free when he holds you, btw I did it as a vampire non the less as well

That wasn't me in the video I just did it with my vamp Nb, I just spammed the healing DW attack over and over basically, lol

I actually never fought him until like a month ago. I had this vague notion that people were having issues with it. The first time, he did his thing and I just died. Honestly wasnt quite sure what happened. The second time I just ulti-bomb burst him and he was dead before he got it off. I think you just need to CC break his fancy attack.

What are you talking about? I thought light attack spam on a bow build was how the big boys do it?

(it actually physically hurts to watch that)

Wasn't directed at you, merely a statement of fact for others seeing that video. The constant sound of bow LAs alone gives me shivers of dread.

It's actually worth it to not simply burn him down before that mechanic so you can watch the interesting (and unique) things he does. I've often wished we had some of that zone's abilities. I love the "bounce between enemies" attack that some dungeons bosses and the Order guys do. That "fall from the sky on people" skill looks pretty fun, too.

From many pugs I assume, you understand that the plan of an fast an relaxing dungeon run failed :)
Think its more about showing the boss is not dangerous, like the guy right after launch who killed Doshia nude with an white restoration staff only with light and heavy attacks and no abilities on bar.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Throw a few DoTs on him before he does the time stop thing (and maybe some HoTs on yourself if you're worried), conserve enough stamina to break free, and when he does the time stop just break free. You don't even really need to do the DoTs/HoTs if you don't want to - they're just insurance to make sure the fight is still going your way even if you have difficulty breaking free right away.

    Practice breaking free A LOT.

I killed him by getting right up in his face and circling round him, and just kept bashing him. It helped that I was able to summon a clannfear to act as a tank. He did freeze me a few times, but I broke out of it pretty quickly.

Yeah, the timestop is annoying, and when it happens while you are standing in the "bad" ground... its all over. But if you keep dodging out of that right away, chances are decent he won't timestop you in it, and you can recover...
DoTs help a LOT here since they will tick even when you are out of it. So does keeping your stamina up for the breakout. Food buffs are a must. And nifty item sets are also great (I had fun with Baharas Curse, turn the tables on him with the ground thing...)
And even then, luck can loose you the fight at the last minute. Expect to do it a few times over.

I had no troubles with this dude.. and I am stam-blade argonian... (I beat him somewhere around 180 - 250 CP)
Reaping Mark -> Ambush -> Heavy attack -> dodge & occasionally spam vigor
& repeat & repeat till he is at 25% health or lower. Then dodge and spam Killer's Blade...
... and he is dead xD

    Groupfinder:
The worst part is when it finally puts you in a group, your healer turns into a werewolf, your tank has 14k HP and the dps is heavy armor, using a restro staff and a two handed sword on the backbar. Then comes the 15 minute penalty before the cycle starts anew.

    Rulz of Morrowind:
    • The first rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • The second rule of Morrowind is: You do not talk about Morrowind.
    • Third rule of Morrowind: Someone yells NDA stuff, uploads images, streams, the game is over.
    • Fourth rule: only invited players can test.
    • Fifth rule: one invite at a time, fellas.
    • Sixth rule: crying or bashing on pts.
    • Seventh rule: NDA will go on as long as they have to.
    • And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first invite at Morrowind, you have to play.

I cheesed the **** out of this fight. XD

I have a squishy stamblade so I know this pain. The first time he time-stopped me, I died because I didn't have the stamina to break out.

So, before diving back in, I did a little reorganizing of skills to favor spammables and dropped Agony (NB skill in the siphoning line) on my bar. Yeah, he's CCable. He'd freeze me, I'd break out, and I'd freeze him right back. ;)

The big thing is to make sure you keep a little stamina on your bar, so you can break out when he timestops you. On PC, the breaking CC default is pressing both mouse buttons at the same time... no idea what it is on console. Break out quick enough, and those little time-stops are just annoyances. For the rest of the fight, I personally went the route of keeping my distance and dodging around the columns, --which forced him to waste time chasing after me--then putting Agony on him when I needed a little break. The fight was much easier that way. :)

    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

(Signature idea shamelessly stolen from Abeille.)

But seriously, break, burst, break, burst, devour/syphon repeat as needed is how I did it. First run I got smoked, my fault for coming in all "i'm gonna *** your soul" and, yeah, I was used and abused. Did it as a Stamblade Dunmer Vampire

To be fair: if all you had ever done so far in ESO is solo content then this could very well be the first Boss encounter where mechanics actually matter. Which says a lot about all the rest of the solo content.
