... Couldn't afford to furnish it with crowns at the time of purchase. Now I have the crowns, but can only furnish it piece by piece through the crown store, crafting or guild stores. Why can't I fully furnish my home after purchase from the crown store like I could when I bought it? Or maybe offer room furnishing kits (by race) in the crown store so people can furnish their homes one room at a time. (Kind of like in Skyrim)

I was going to say I think it's because if you look at the price of a furnished house vs. unfurnished and the cost of the furnishings you're getting a really good deal, so they don't want to offer it if you don't spend the money to buy the house as well.

But actually the same is true of the furnishing packs they offer. The Trees of Tamriel pack costs 400 gems but if you bought them separately 400 gems would get you just 4 trees, so you're essentially getting everything else for free.

So it seems like it would make sense to offer you the opportunity to buy a 'furnishing pack' for your house after you've got it.

There are or were some collections in the regular crown store for furnishing a house. A grab bag of several items for like 500 Crowns each. Not sure if they are still there.
