It's the biggest rip off in the game, second only to crown crates.
Most functions don't work in home, still have to go to town anyway, it is 99% cosmetic fluff.
I'll wait until they make them actually have a function or two.
But, I'm happy for those that like it.

✭✭✭Zero, invested in motifs instead for now not sure if i'll even bother with the houses its just like Swtor 2.0, you get all these decorated houses that only a few friends come to see every now and then not worth the time and effort twice tbh.
I probably have the most decorated / expensive houses in Swtor right now compared to the majority of the entire game and yet only like 1-2 people ever step foot in them at any time during weeks to months.1 -

leeux✭✭✭✭✭Just two, the cheapest ones that I liked... Snugpod and Cyrodilic Jungle House. Snugpod just for the convenience, and the other for the outside area. Both cost me around ~100K, so not a bad deal I'd say
EDIT: I forgot to say, I'd probably put all the crafting stations I can fit inside the Snugpod, so it'll be more of a laboratory kind of setup
I'm waiting on the Craglorn Cavern, and if it's too pricey, I'll get the Demesne big house with crowns at some point. thisisScoMan✭✭✭✭10. All the small ones. All purchased with in game gold. I decided it better to buy a lot of small houses than one big house. I was wrong. Decorating 10 small houses, each themed to that particular race, is painful. Lucky they only cost a bit of in game gold and no money.

✭✭✭✭✭I started with the three free inn rooms plus Captain Margaux's Place because it is situated right in the part of Daggerfall I frequent most with pretty well all my characters. I got it furnished with existing subscription crowns as I don't trade and therefore don't have any gold. I'm also more interested in topping up my furnishings rather than crafting everything from scratch.
Once my sub is renewed in a couple of weeks time I'll be using the crowns to get the furnished version of Hunting's, again with a view to topping up the furnishings rather than starting from scratch. I prefer Hunting's to all the other large houses and manors and it's exceptional value.
After that we'll have to see. I might get another house at some point, but it won't be a priority.0 -
Jacozilla✭✭✭✭✭I object to OP excluding my freebie closets as homes. So I will list them. Including the small apartments also verboten.
I own 3 nice closet + snug pod , which is minimal but good free ports home to any alliance with reasonably close shrines nearby, and snugpod as cheap ideal for picking up daily pledges.
Just by location convenience, snugpod has to rank higher than most large houses and estates.0 -

I got the furnished Forgotten Stronghold with Crowns 'cause I had plenty from ESO Plus, and I didn't want to grind for months to save up for the house and then have no gold left over for furnishings. This way I can enjoy it right now, there's plenty of room to do more with it, and I already have had plenty of fun with friends there, mudball wars and a bit of RPing and the like.
