To break up the monotony of ZOS fix this, ragging on ZOS for any change you don't like, or complaining about the pvp test week, here rag on me... I really screwed the pooch with this one lol. So we Xbox folks just got homestead last Tuesday and I didn't get a chance to play until Saturday. So I had pretty much determined which houses I wanted and I was in the process of taking a look at them. I had narrowed it down to the house in windhelm and the old mistvail manor outside Riften.

As I was comparing the price of furnished vs non furnished in the windhelm house my son started talking to me and I quit paying attention. At this point I've decided that I'm gonna buy mistveil. As I'm trying to get out of the housing editor and granted I'm not paying attention really at all and I bought the furnished house in windhelm.

When I realized what I had done I laughed so hard at myself for being a complete idiot! I wanted to be mad but I was the only one to blame for my mistake. Take it from me people pay attention when you are looking at prices you may Think you are pressing B when really you are just spamming A and you end up with a house you don't want lol!

Luckily, I still had crowns left over so I went and bought the mistveil manor as well and now I'm working on transferring all my awesome furnishings from windhelm to Riften.

Maybe one day I'll get around to refurnishing the house in windhelm but until then my property in windhelm will remain vacant. Who knows maybe if my son decides to play he can have it for his own.

So instead of complaining too much about pvp testing this week just think "well at least I'm not that dumb ass" , so laugh at my pain and have a great day and week!

Edited for spelling mistake...

Great way to put a positive spin on it. :)

And hey, now you have an easy teleport back to a major city any time you want it. XD
    Living vicariously through my characters.

    My Girls:
"If you were trapped in your house for, say, a year, how would you pass the time?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "I suppose I could use the break. I have a lot of business holdings now that need management."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "I think that I would enjoy writing a memoir."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "Would this one be able to go outside, to the nearby river? It's hard to fish without water!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "Who is forcing me to stay inside, and where can I find them?"
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "And why would I want to go outside in the first place? Too much to be done in the workshop."
Lorelai Magpie, breton master thief: "I'd go nuts. Lucky for me, I have a little experience sneaking out!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "I would continue my training to keep my skills sharp."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "I suppose it would be lucky, then, that I built a shrine to Mephala in my backyard."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hate being inside even when I'm not forced to be. GET. ME. OUT."
Madam Argentia, vampire dunmer aristocrat: "I suppose it would be more of the same. I have a rather... contentious relationship with the sun."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'd have to house train my bear..."
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "What Lorelai said."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one would like a rest from her grand adventures. Her jewel shop runs out of stock!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "Provided that I am confined to Artaeum, I do not think I will want for things to occupy my time."
Shauna Blackfire, redguard necromancer: "Sounds like paradise. I hate people."
Kirniel the Undying, cursed bosmer warrior: "I would feel useless, not being able to fight."
Echoes-from-Dragons, argonian who thinks she's a dragon: "All the better to count my hoard!"

My in lore reasoning is to go and treat with the nobles of windhelm. After I get my house in Riften set up the way I want maybe I'll decorate it with fancy stuff to impress the nobles of Skyrim. I better start buying painting now!

Also thanks @Mashille and @sevomd69 for your kind and insightful replies.

Dude try making a mistake of purchasing furnished house for the Daggerfall Overlook manor LOL

I wanted to cry so hard :(

I made this mistake because I was suffering from bad insomnia on that day.

Thank you thank you thank you! That is an awesome suggestion that I didn't even think of. Furniture takes up a ton of bank and inventory space.

Here's a question though, I'm pretty sure you can remove items from your bank with housing editor (I could be wrong), is it possible to do this between houses or does it have to be in your bank/inventory to place in desired houses. I assume it has to be in bank or inventory to place it otherwise it would be hard to manage multiple properties.

You know what tho. In all seriousness, it was prob a good investment as furnishings are a bit costly individually whether it's gold, a pattern, materials or crowns.

The preview furnished looked nice. Now you and mix and match

Yea I got a lot of furnishing and quite a few are purple. I was short crowns so I didn't buy the furnished version of mistveil so instead I took what I had left and bought an awesome knight statue for my courtyard.

Now if only I could hire an interior designer lol.

That's the reason I posted it it seems like every thread is hate mail and I understand people's frustrations some times but it's a game. Does it suck I wasted my crowns and essientially wasted real money, yes it does, but I enjoy the game and I know it's not perfect but it's fun and I think overall ZOS tries to do a lot with it. I appreciate that because how many games now days will drop crap knowing ppl will buy it and never really put the time into making in good.
ZOS has its issues but I see the effort and I appreciate it.

Like I said it sucks I wasn't my crowns but at the end of the day I'm supporting something I enjoy and in turn supporting those who make this enjoyment possible.

There is enough negativity in life and it's ok to be positive I think a lot of ppl should try it more including myself. This is one step towards a more positive outlook for me.

@sevomd69 exactly! how many games can boast multiple DLCs a year and over I think they said 1300 hours of content not counting all the other things you can do in this game. I'm not sure there are many, especially on a console which I play on, I could be wrong when it comes to pc games since mmorpgs are more abundant.

I don't have enough furniture yet for this to become an issue for me, but when I do I'm going to be turning my 3 free apartments into furniture storage lockers B)

I'm about 90% sure it has to be in your bank or inventory. Of course, the nice thing about storing furniture in a different home is that when you want to go and fetch it for a different house, you just port directly to the home where the furniture is stored, and then port directly to the home where you want to use it. Not as convenient as having it in your bank, but far more convenient than having it in another character's inventory and having to relog to get it.

@UrQuan That's what I thought but wasn't sure. It's also nice that fast travel to homes is free. I don't even want to know how much I've spent on fast traveling.

@I_killed_Vivec I am a nice guy... until I bite you lol. You got a point though, there is nothing nice about a rabid animal and wolverines are not nice animals to begin with.

This could just be a ploy to get strangers within biting range, you'll have to come closer to find out!
