Do you play opposite sex toons so you can watch the butt jiggle?

Yes - I play opposite gender but for strategic reasons
I make characters to be whatever gender fits their concept best. Does that count as "strategic reasons"? It's close enough for me.

I'm too serious of a gamer to consider such things
I have 3 male and 3 female characters and honestly I don't consider any of them especially attractive.

I use the same main character in most western RPGs and it came as a bit of a surprise to me when I realised I never try to make her pretty. She's the one who is most like me (picks the choices I think are right in quests and all that) and she's not ugly but it seemed a bit odd that I never really try to make her attractive either. It seems like I should, but that's just not who she is.

But yeah, I make a character to fill a role in a story, I make them look however I think that person should look. If you want to look at sexy people, from behind, in front or any other angle you can image you've got the whole of the internet right there.

No- I prefer to watch the rear of my own gender!
Nty too gay for that. And also no, butts don't interest me whatsoever.
Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.

I always play attractive male characters in RPGs, and I'm a straight male. Playing dress-up on a female character feels weird to me.

If I made a female character, I'd make her a big butch type.

I'm the opposite and find it more enjoyable "playing dress-up" with a female character. I don't give as much thought to my male character's aesthetics compared to my female characters, as my male characters just need to look passable. This is really apparent in single player RPGs, where I don't even bother to customize the looks of male characters and just use the default (like the default Shepard in Mass Effect). Whereas I'll spend an inordinate amount of time customizing a female character...

I switch between male and female.
    I don't even know why.

    To try differences in armor.
    Experiences something different.
to play a different character in situations very different to my own.

I do find her beautiful though, at times. She isn't really "sexy" though, i didn't make her such.

I'm too serious of a gamer to consider such things
I have male characters and female characters.

And I am far too serious a -roleplayer- to let any sort of jiggling interfere with my characters... so I have averything from a skinny dunmer assassin girl who couldn't jiggle without an illusion spell to an amazonian orcess who makes other people jiggle in fear of her hammer, to a slim dunmer librarian boy who secretly reads about all sorts of jiggling to an argonian dragon-fanboy mercenary to a waifish breton vamiress who uses her lack of jiggling and innocent looks to lure in her prey to a big, drink nord who only jiggles after enough mead to an imperial pirate girl who may or may not jiggle depending on her attire to a fat redguard ex-guard turned bandit boy who jiggles... in many ways, and not exactly like the OP suggests... And yeah, there is a jiggly altmer healer priestess who is not nearly as pious as she pretends to be in my ranks of alts as well. But she is not among my main characters, so...

Its that the character design fits my character idea that matters to me. Not the jiggling.
    :p;)

I made a sassy male character for DC, he has the duchess personality a fabulous beard and the best wavy hair anyone could ask for. Not much Butt wiggling going on with him though but he does have the best dance moves compared to the women in game ;)

Ok.. I wanted to post some memes about it but all of them are.. well... not appropriate... but the point is this:
In every mmorpg you can recognize who is playing particular character by following this rule:

The more "skimpy clothes" character wears - the more probable it that it is being controlled by opposite gender player.

lol! this thread is like watching dumb and dumber (not the people-just the idea) i'm amused but feel dumb for being amused. so am not sure which is dumber ;) anyways-a lot of people (like me) view their toons as expressions of different facets of their own selves so watching your own booty jiggle is not on the table, nor is it any indication of sexual orientation which gender you choose. i really should have tried harder to go back to sleep i'm thinking-hahaha

I view my character as representation of me in that game world.Since i am male i could never play as female because that is just not me, i can never identify with female character. There is just something "off" for me about playing female character, its like if someone asked me to do sex change operation i would say no bloody way i like being male, same with RPG games.

As for jiggling asses, i play game because i am in mood to play game, not to watch ass.Have sex or watch *** if you feel horny.

Ok.. I wanted to post some memes about it but all of them are.. well... not appropriate... but the point is this:
In every mmorpg you can recognize who is playing particular character by following this rule:

The more "skimpy clothes" character wears - the more probable it that it is being controlled by opposite gender player.

    Doesn't always work though.

I'm female and my female khajiit often wears the Graht Climbers Activewear costume in town, the one that's basically a mini skirt and crop top. Even her armour typically has no sleeves and overall looks fairly minimal (it fits with her combat style, which is all about sneaking and moving - freedom of movement is more important than thick armour because she protects herself by simply not being there when the blow lands). Plus after all the time I spent debating between leopard spots or jaguar spots I don't want to hide them.

In Guild Wars 2 my sylvari elementalist's whole outfit is built around the "barely there" concept. (And in GW2 light armour you can get pretty close to 'not there at all'.)

But I'm straight and female and one of those is a cat and the other is a plant. I'm sure some people won't believe me but I'm completely confident say there's nothing sexual about it for me, it's just what I think the character would choose to wear. My female human in both games is pretty fully clothed. I actually laughed when I saw the description for the other bosmer mini skirt said ""Covering yourself from head to toe makes perfect sense … if you're a stuffy old Breton!" because my human is a breton and I previewed it on her first and thought "Oh gods no!", then tried it on my khajiit and it somehow looked much better.

My husband always plans female characters, partially because he thinks the whole 'great hero warrior' archetype is more interesting when she's this cute girl who no one would expect to kick ass like that, and partially because he says he finds it easer to design a nice looking female character. And yet he always keeps them fully clothed (he usually picks big, chunky heavy armour, keeps the helmet on, the whole works.). He had a go at me once for playing in a snowy map on my khajiit, saying she looked like she'd freeze even if she is covered in fur.

I'm not so sure about that. I'm female, play a female character, and dress her in skimpy/sexy clothes sometimes, like the seducer armor. You can't make assumptions. :/

As a male who plays only female characters, this thread gave me a good laugh. :D

However for me, I don't really think about such things as I create a character or play them. In fact, I find myself favoring the smaller chest and booty proportions when creating a character.

It's not until someone brings the topic up do I think "Huh. They do giggle, don't they?"
