Having an issue with Housing : What is considered an actual flooring?

So i bought the forsaken stronghold, and I built an arena off the side of the tower, in the sky. The issue I'm having is that the wooden planks I used to build the arena do not actually count as legitimate flooring. So my guildmates cannot placed floor based aoe abilities. Can anyone help me?

It's been mentioned in other threads, but players are missing the main point of Homestead which is housing ... trying to add functional PvP arenas just isn't an intended feature.

However, PvP arenas are coming in June.

Disagree. People have been creating functional PvP arenas in their houses. The question here is what is up with the planks that we can walk on, but which don't count as being on the ground.

I've seen threads about this. Your ground aoe skills, etc. will not work while walking on non-vanilla platform floor. "Flooring" right now is anything that was already a floor in the vanilla homestead. No response at all has been given as to their intentions of changing this (we should assume they won't).

As long as knockback pushes players through walls, they are partially functional at best (and ZOS has yet to respond about whether knockback will ever NOT push players right through walls).
