Definetly nice having a little bit of info every other week! Keeps the hype up and is a much, much better strategy than those 2 months of almost complete silence after One Tamriel.

Here's the copy pasta for those who didn't see it:

    Warden Class
    - To play a Warden you will have to start a new character, no class changes.
    - A big reason they included the class with the Chapter was because if it were in DLC and included in ESO Plus, it raises questions as to whether you could continue to play the character after your subscription lapses, so this makes it a permanent purchase.
    - The "defensive ice magic" line is called "Winter's Embrace", the "nature-based healing" line is called "Green Balance", and the "animal DPS" line is called "Animal Companions".
    - The Winter's Embrace line includes offensive and defensive self-buffs and protective magic.
    - The Green Balance line includes Fungal Growth (cone-shaped AOE heal) and Healing Seed (gets dropped on the ground and can be used by anyone). In general it's more "healing what's in front of you" and less AOE.
    - The Animal Companion line includes an ability to summon a cliff racer to attack your enemy and a swarm of bugs that does AOE damage.
    - The Warden's bear summon ultimate needs to be on the active bar to be maintained, so be prepared to slot it on both bars.
    - The bear has two morphs. One automatically re-summons the bear if it dies, without requiring you to recharge your ultimate. The other becomes a DPS machine, and you gain ultimate while it's active. Using the gained ultimate triggers the bear's enrage, gaining overall strength and doing more damage to enemies in execute range.
    - The Warden's netch ability can be used on the back bar and then swapped.
    - The Warden is very flexible; Rich Lambert expects it to best fill the off-tank/off-healer role in large group content, and to do well in PvP as an all-arounder. In tests it has functioned perfectly well as a main tank, healer and DPS, but seems to shine best as off-tank/off-healer.
    - The Warden may shine as part of a Bow DPS build, possessing many ranged Stamina abilities.
    - ZOS wants the Warden to be a competitive DPS.
    - The Warden cannot ride its summoned bear. Sorry, folks.

I'm not popping a potion every 45 seconds just to have a buff. I'd rather reserve that potion for healing. Also I'd prefer a Bow/SnS setup for PvP. If only there were a major brutality version of Entropy in this game.

Most likely going to make my warden a hybrid tank - 7 heavy, split mag/stam, shield and frost staff combo to utilize both resources for tanking.

Definitely going with the dps bear morph for soloing, as a tank it'll be invaluable having a dps pet that can execute. Probably going to be using sleet storm and shield wall for pve tanking though

I'm hoping the lotus ability (described as a damage buff) will provide both major brutality and sorcery via one of the morphs, like Molten armaments for dk. I need both buffs as a hybrid.

So this info leaked 2 weeks ago was somewhat accurate. Likely though of course anything can change in 3-4 months. But the names are the same.

This doesnt sound good. One of the big problems I have with resto staff healing is everyone runs around all over the place and its hard to heal "whats in front of you". And I dont want a heal that relies on players remembering to pick up a healing seed. "Hey, you let me die!" well you didnt pick up the seed....

I dont know about this. You have to decide between perma bear, but never use any other ultimate again and all ultimate points are wasted, or have an ultimate that enrages bear so you can still use ultimate power, but you could be stuck waiting to resummon the bear all the time if it dies often. I have a hard time believing that a permanent bear will make up for not having an ultimate. . Guess well just have to see how powerful the bear is.

This doesnt sound good. We know that the elite players of ESO dont accept builds that play "perfectly well".
So I guess Templar will still be considered the one and only healer with all other healers considered weak including wardens. And DK will still be considered the best tank.

    - The Warden may shine as part of a Bow DPS build, possessing many ranged Stamina abilities.

The majority of players think that bows are crappy DPS so this wont go over well.

    - ZOS wants the Warden to be a competitive DPS.

The DPS animal tree only has three attacks. One, a situational forward line attack, then two others. Will the warden be able to be competitive with Cliffracers and bees?

The majority of players think that bows are crappy DPS so this wont go over well.

The only reason bow is considered crappy dps is because it lacks a good ranged spammable to weave with. If one of the cliff racer morphs is a ranged stamina attack, that might be all it takes to make bow work as a primary weapon.

Really the problem is attack canceling. Despite being a bug, it's deemed the only way to reach respectable levels of damage now.

bow/bow can already pull 40k dps self buffed. The hawkeye buff was a noticeable increase for sustained damage this patch. If the warded gains a ranged stamina spammable skill like the cliffracer, that plus the current strength of bow will be perfect. And for pvp, with the bear and a spamable stamina skill, the bow will be perfectly fine.

Where did you get that info? If that's true, then its pretty much worthless. In the first interview they said that the bear stays until killed. I'm pretty sure that at that point most people would rather slot ice comet and sleet storm, so they can at least have another option without stopping themselves from using one bar for most of the fight. Unless they make the bear extremely powerful, wasting two ultimate slots and not being able to cast any ultimates is too much of a handicap.

Yeah but they didn't say anything about it being double barred ... So it could mean it will stay around forever but it has to be double barred. I doubt it though, but I COULD see ZoS doing such a thing.

We have an official reply about the bear ultimate - It must be DOUBLE BARRED

    Quote from interview -
"Will Warden players be required to keep their bear summon ability on both skill bars?

Rich: You have to double bar it [Warden ultimate] to keep it up all the time because then you could have two ultimates active at all times. So we’re balancing the bear so that it feels like an ultimate. A lot of the other abilities, like the Netch, are just a short-term buff so you can back bar it, hit it, and then switch back to your front bar."

Wow... that just ruined warden. Id rather the bear be a normal ability summon. Its not very "Ultimate" if its no different from a sorc pet, other than the fact that it wastes both of your ulti slots...

Well apparently they are going to "balance the bear so it feel like an ultimate."
But I am also skeptical that having a pet will compensate for wasting both ultimate slots.

I'm sure the bear will be pulling off more damage and be tougher than sorc pets, that's implied by them saying they're balancing it to feel like an ultimate.

Also with the damage morph, you can activate it again while the bear is already summoned to enrage it and give it execute damage.
