Soloing 4 man dungeons by a pretty average player!!!

Hello all,

I think I am doing really well, as I don't think I am a very good player when I watch myself against others.

Recently I have started to solo 4 Man and public dungeons quite easily.

And it is all to do with my pets!!!!! Since I started using them my life has got so much easier. And I really enjoy the play style.

I'm a high elf sorc, all points in magic. Run 5 set elegant and 5 set neceopotence. Gold staff lightning.

Easy noob rotation of hardened ward, if it procs crystal fragment, liquid lightning, HA, and repeat!!!

Really easy, and I know it's probably rubbish compared to really good players. But believe me I have struggled in dungeons in the past and been the one that lets the group down.

So basically if I can do it anybody can.

Thanks for everybody's help on these forums and the previous build ideas. I have copied and learnt a lot!

I'm still struggling with some world bosses but I think that's practice.

Any advice or comments would be welcome.

Thanks again

    Who dungeons has you solo?
If you have one single boss and not boatloads of adds it should work well.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Congratulations for joining Elite of Undaunted!
Sorc are best for solo dungs but if you want more exciting battle try other clases too. It's doable.
Sometimes I like to go some dungs to show these monsters my spear (as a Templar). B)

Leveling an templar now, had to change from the senche pet to an house cat as I tended to be annoyed for the senche to not tank :)

Just a question; when you say public Dungeons, do you mean those in the Zones or do you mean the ones via GF ie. Fungal Grotto.?

Nearly all group dungeons are easy to solo if they have no 2 man mechanics. They're really not much of a step up from the public dungeons. Vet dungeons are another thing entirely. Good luck with most of those.

Almost every normal dungeon can be soloed by solid player. And crazy strong players solo even veteran DLC dungeons. So, congratz OP, but know that you are still long way before being true monster such as @Vaoh.

Yeah most vet dungeons are easier to do solo than do vma. It's good practice and feels great first time but takes too long to do daily etc.

    Anyway great you're enjoying it!

I somewhat doubt about what you say. Some dungeons are soloable, not all though because of mechanics. And since you talk about group and public dungeons I have a feeling you are talking about normal mode because public and group are like comparing dodo to T-rex :) Public dungeons are a joke.
Magicka sorcerer from start until the end. Always. Through the good times and the bad, even now when its probably saddest PvE dps it has ever been.
Even as an owner of one radiant apex mounts I am against radiant apex mounts and anything thats not obtainable by direct purchase.

Haaa.. good job, then. Just know it doesn't get any more better. It doesn't matter how much more higher levels you get to or how much more CPs cap are released, soloing world bosses and those soloable dungeons will always be a pain in the arse. It is still easy, in a sense, but still pain because you have to take out all the adds/mobs and the bosses by yourself, versus breezing through with another player or two. To me, it's not about working smarter, but harder. Ha ha. I normally only solo those when I need to farm for a piece or sets and don't care to wait for another to show up or patience enough to mess with dungeon queuing for the undaunted keys.

It is not a secret that Sorcerer is probably the only class that can solo 4 man group content with ease. Only because you have a pet that acts as a tank. Try soloing a group dungeon on a Nightblade, Templar or Dragonknight. Even if it is do-able then it is much more difficult.

As said before - in that manner Sorcerer is Over Preforming. A 4 man group content should not be "solo-able" - and if it is - it is a serious design flaw.
I fear it might end up in group finder to stop working again because everybody will simply crate a Sorcerer and just there won't be a need to have a group to complete a dungeon (do quest) or simply grind gear.

Sorcerer get an tank who is very nice then facing one strong enemy.
If enemy don't do lots of aoe damage, an hard hitting secondary boss or mechanic the boss dies.
Soloing an dungeon is an test of yourself, not very practical as its slow.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I solo dungeons on my sorcerer and my templar, and a friend of mine solos pledges often on a magicka nightblade. I think it can be done on any class, if you know that class well enough. My templar and my sorcerer both excel in different areas, my sorcerer is fast and has a huge shield and doesn't have to get too close, my templar is pretty tanky and can stand her ground and heal through pretty much anything. They are both great for soloing stuff in different ways

My sorc solos them without pets, because shields. Seriously, unless there are CC mechanics or Direfrost pressure plates, just alternate shields with attacks and you can burn through any normal 4 man group dungeon.
