Broken "sit" command on world chairs (PC NA)

Certain places in the world with multiple chairs will only allow one of them to be used. The other chairs show a sit command available, but do not respond to the keystroke. Specific examples:

Riften: In the food market stall, there is a round table with two chairs. One of them you can sit in, but the displays "Sit" option with no key command prompt and cannot be interacted with
Riften: Outlaws refuge in the Skull Family camp on the lower level. Again, table with three chairs - only one of them can be successfully interacted with. Once a person is sitting there - the others just display "Sit" command with no ability to actually sit.

None of the benches in front of the Withered Tree in Riften work either, despite displaying "sit" option. Bar stools in tavern in Evermore same thing. So many broken chairs all over the world...

True. I toyed with the chairs in homestead and the reason for them not functioning is because the chairs aren't positioned good for a player to sit or aren't placed (aligned) firmly on the ground.

Oh, also you need to be really close to them to be able to sit. For example, your cursor says "sit" but without your character being close to the chairs, you don't get "E" option to actually sit.

I don't believe this is an actual bug. If you carefully notice when editing your own house in-game, if you place a chair too close to another object, the outline of the chair is yellow and not green. When an object is outlined yellow, it's indicating that yes, you can place the object there, however you will not be able to use the object despite it giving you the "sit" option when hovering over it.

Like another user mentioned, if you don't get the "E" to sit option when hovering over the chair and only get the "sit" option, you will not be able to use the chair.

Very true - but I still think it's something that should be fixed. Remove the sit command from appearing if it isn't usable - it's confusing the way it is.

Yeah, it does get confusing. It took me a bit to realize that myself. It's weird—ever since they allowed us to sit in chairs, I try to sit on everything lol. I didn't even care before that we weren't allowed to interact with the seating in-game, but for some reason now, all I want to do is sit on stuff.

Ha, right? Middle of a delve - "Oh hey a chair!"
